\tLead and oversee complex, cross-functional business optimisation initiatives from concept through to implementation and benefits realisation;
\n\tGuide project scoping, problem definition, data analysis, solution design, and implementation planning;
\n\tEnsure optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies are applied consistently and in line with best practice;
\n\tReview and challenge project outputs to ensure quality, rigor, and business relevance;
\n\tSupport team members in unblocking issues, managing risks, and navigating stakeholder complexity;
\n\tTrack, analyse, and report on project performance, value delivery, milestones, and risks;
\n\tIdentify and drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities that reduce cost, cycle time, and operational risk;
\n\tServe as technical guidance for optimisation methodologies, tools, frameworks, and standards;
\n\tProvide solution and architectural input to ensure designs align with organisational architecture and technology standards;
\n\tAssist and guide engineers in designing fit-for purpose, scalable, and sustainable solutions;
\n\tSet direction for framework adoption and continuous evolution in alignment with organisational strategy;
\n\tEnsure solutions meet quality standards defined within the Innovation \/ Business Optimisation environment;
\n\tProvide hands-on coaching to engineers on analysis techniques, problem structuring, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and solution design;
\n\tMentor junior and graduate engineers, supporting technical, professional, and leadership development;
\n\tAssist with Onboarding and accelerating new team members\u2019 effectiveness;
\n\tIdentify development needs and support creation of individual development plans;
\n\tFacilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, training, and internal capability-building initiatives;
\n\tPromote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and experimentation;
\n\tSupport the Business Optimisation Manager with team planning, prioritisation, and workload balancing;
\n\tAct as first point of escalation for project-level delivery challenges;
\n\tContribute to resource planning, project allocation, and skills matching across initiatives;
\n\tKeep track of projects using the organisation\u2019s project management tools;
\n\tStep in for the Manager when required to ensure continuity of delivery;
\n\tBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
\n\tTranslate complex analysis into clear, compelling insights and recommendations;
\n\tInfluence decision-making by balancing analytical rigor with practical business realities;
\n\tDrive proactive change management across initiatives;
\n\tEngage with Business Improvement \/ Optimisation consultants and vendors to ensure alignment to standards and governance;
\n\tContribute to the development and execution of the Innovation roadmap within assigned areas;
\n\tProvide input into building and maintaining a structured knowledge base for the function;
\n\tEnsure appropriate training and capability development is enabled through modern e-learning and digital platforms.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
\n\tB.Eng Industrial Engineering (Essential);
\n\tPost Graduate Degree (Advantageous);
\n\tMinimum of 8 years\u2019 progressive experience within business optimisation, continuous improvement, or operational excellence environments (Essential);
\n\tProven experience leading complex improvement projects end-to-end (Essential);
\n\tExperience coaching or mentoring Engineers\/Analysts (Advantageous);
\n\tExpert in the areas of mathematical modelling, simulation modelling and optimization;
\n\tExtensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems;
\n\tExpert in agile project management to lead projects that meet strategic goals;
\n\tStakeholder management;
\n\tProject Management ;
\n\tAble to handle sensitive and confidential information;
\n\tAbility to keep one\u2019s composure in a fast moving, dynamic environment;
\n\tProblem solving and decision making;\u00a0
