Job Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements (Education and Experience)<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\t2-4 years\u2019 experience as a bartender
\n\tExperience in cocktail creation and service<\/p>\n
Work conditions and special requirements\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAbility to work shifts that meet operational requirements
\n\tPhysically able to move operating equipment
\n\tHave an open attitude to perform similar functions in alternative outlets due to operational requirements<\/p>\n
Duties and responsibilities include<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and maintain mise-en-place to ensure full readiness for service, conducting all necessary checks and preparations
\n\tMonitor and maintain bar presentation and functionality, promptly identifying and addressing any issues related to appearance, equipment, or systems to uphold operational standards
\n\tStock and replenish the bar in alignment with service requirements, ensuring optimal inventory levels and proper product rotation
\n\tUphold flawless cleanliness and organisation within the assigned section or station, maintaining hygiene standards at all times
\n\tStay informed on current F & B trends, product knowledge, and mixology techniques to deliver an elevated and contemporary menu experience
\n\tExecute all service duties in accordance with F & B Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance
\n\tAccurately and efficiently take guest orders and process them through the system with attention to detail and timeliness
\n\tConfidently explain and recommend menu items, offering beverage pairings and guidance that enhance the guest experience
\n\tMix, garnish and present beverages and cocktails to outlet standards, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
\n\tAnticipate and respond to guest needs with attentiveness and professionalism, fostering a welcoming and memorable experience
\n\tClear and reset bar areas promptly after guest service, maintaining flow and presentation standards
\n\tAccurately prepare and present guest bills, handling transactions efficiently and maintaining accountability during cash-ups
\n\tComplete beverage stock sheets and daily counts, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock movements
\n\tIdentify and capitalise on upselling opportunities, promoting signature cocktails, premium brands and promotional offerings
\n\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations, upholding the highest standards of workplace safety and sanitation
\n\tUse, clean and store operating equipment responsibly, in accordance with operational and safety guidelines
\n\tActively participate in stocktakes and inventory control, reporting discrepancies and breakages in line with required standards
\n\tCraft a diverse range of cocktails with consistency, maintaining exceptional quality, presentation and service standards
\n\tInterpret guest preferences and translate them into bespoke cocktail creations, delivering a personalised and memorable beverage experience<\/p>\n
