\n\tAs our Senior Civil Engineer you will manage, coordinate and evaluate all tasks and designs related to foundations, tower, road\/crane pad and drainage aspects of wind projects in various stages of development, execution, and operations to various business units within the organization, as well as provide support to engineering manager and managing junior to medium level engineers and draughtsmen\u00a0<\/p>\n
Main responsibilities\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tLead and scope the geological, topographical, and hydrological due diligence tasks
\n\tLead review of hydrological, geotechnical, structural and roads risks at development phase
\n\tManage the calculation of civil quantities for the bill of quantities\u00a0
\n\tIdentify country specific Civil risks and constraints
\n\tPresence on site during development phase to compile site specific checklists\/presentations and decide scope of work
\n\tSupport technical due diligence of wind turbine generators and substructure suppliers\u00a0
\n\tConduct due diligence investigations on civil related packages to ensure risks and opportunities are identified to be implemented in the detail design
\n\tSupport Supply Chain Management on compilation and evaluation of RFP documents (technical specifications and bill of quantities), then lead engagement with suppliers to clarity the responses
\n\tSupport Execution Team with planning and alignment of technical aspects of the project
\n\tEnsure that all civil design information identified throughout the structuring phase is implemented in the detail designs
\n\tSupervision of Pile load\/integrity tests and Pull-out tests during development or structuring phase \u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and competencies\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMaster\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering
\n\t8+ years Civil engineering experience
\n\t5+ years Wind energy experience
\n\tFoundation design\/Geotechnical Investigations or hydrological modelling\/ drainage design experience
\n\tRoads\/pavement or Structural design analysis and bending schedules
\n\tProfessional Engineering Registration (or similar active CREA )\u00a0
\n\tDesign management of complex Civil infrastructure (foundations, drainage, roads and buildings)
\n\tUnderstanding of Resident Engineer management of complex Infrastructure projects
\n\tSound knowledge of CAD knowledge
\n\tSound knowledge of SAP2000 (or similar numerical modelling software)\u00a0
\n\tAn excellent knowledge of MS Office
\n\tSound knowledge of GIS software
\n\tLanguage: fluent both written and spoken in English;\u00a0 (Arabic is an advantage)
\n\tAble to represent and sign projects on behalf of Scatec for civil engineer discipline in MENA region in consultation with Engineering Manager\u00a0<\/p>\n
