\tAs a member of the Service SA Team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of material into the locomotive repair line during our operations at the subcontractor facility. This role involves overseeing all aspects of material-related activities including inventory management, procurement and ensuring timely availability of material for the locomotive repair line. You will work closely with the materials planner and other project team members to ensure a seamless material supply to the repair line upon request.<\/p>\n

\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 working experience in a warehouse.
\n\tKnowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and distribution functions.

\n\tDemonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
\n\tPossess strong willingness to learn, improve and adapt.

What will your typical day look like?<\/p>\n
Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tReceiving, storing, and issuing various material assets: equipment, consumables, chemicals, parts, tools, etc., considering the most efficient use of warehouse space, facilitating and speeding up the assembly of necessary inventory items.
\n\tCarrying out work to place inventory items within the warehouse.
\n\tVerifying the compliance of received\/dispatched inventory items (equipment, consumables, inventory, chemicals, etc.) with accompanying documents (receipt notes and certificates).
\n\t\u00a0Moving inventory items to storage locations, sorting them by type, quality, purpose, and other criteria, operating an electric forklift.
\n\tPicking material according to specified requests, ensuring accuracy and timelines.
\n\tReceive incoming materials, inspect for quality, and verify against orders.
\n\tMaintain organized and well-managed stock areas to facilitate easy access and inventory control.
\n\tConduct regular cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
\n\tMaintain a safe working environment and ensure excellent housekeeping in the warehouse.
\n\tEnsure parts are labelled and allocated to relevant bins\/shelves and ensure material is packaged securely and properly for shipping.
\n\tOperate a forklift.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\tMust have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
\n\tDiploma in Logistics\/Supply Chain or related qualifications from an accredited institution.
