Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Bookkeeper to manage and reconcile business and trust accounts, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and support financial reporting within a structured and professional environment.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
\n\u00a0
\nBookkeeping<\/p>\n
\tFull bookkeeping for business and trust accounts up to trial balance
\n\tDay-end and month\u2011end processing
\n\tPreparation of Management Accounts
\n\tBusiness bank recons on major banks
\n\tPosting of business Journals\/EFTS\/Fees
\n\tPosting of year-end Journals,
\n\tGeneral Ledger Reconciliations
\n\tTrust interest and charges reconciliations
\n\tCreditor reconciliations
\n\tKnowledge of Sec 86(4) investments and processing in the various banks
\n\tBEE yearly compilation and assistance
\n\tSASSETA compilation and online submission
\n\tVAT reconciliations and submissions
\n\tPreparation for auditors
\n\tPayroll
\n\tPreparation of payroll on Sage Pastel Payroll for the company, including PAYE submission
\n\tBasic HR administration, including leave records and employment documentation
\n\tEMP 201 submissions and UIF electronic declarations
\n\tEMP 501 bi-annual and annual submissions
\n\tAnnual COIDA returns<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tTertiary Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree)
\n\tMinimum 3+ years\u2019 experience in a Senior Legal Bookkeeper role
\n\tSolid understanding of trust accounting and legal compliance
\n\tExperience working with Lawpac and Sage Payroll
\n\tStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently
\n\tWell organised with strong communication skills
\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n
