Position<\/p>\n<p>\tReporting to the Regional HR Manager, the Senior HR Officer is responsible for the efficient and accurate management of disciplinary matters and well as recruitment services within the region, in compliance with legislation and company policies and procedures<\/p>\n<p>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n<p>Effective Performance of the Industrial Relations function<\/p>\n<p>\tResponsible for all disciplinary processes conducted in the region, ensuring compliance with the company\u2019s code of conduct and procedures<br \/>\n\tTo effectively preside over all disciplinary hearings within the region and ensure that all matters are dealt with consistently and that the guidelines as set out in the LRA\/Main Collective Agreement as well as the company disciplinary procedure is applied<br \/>\n\tCompetent representation of the company in dismissal disputes referred to the bargaining council\/CCMA\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsuring that line management is kept informed of changes to the interpretation and application of disciplinary procedures necessitated by CCMA and labour court decisions<br \/>\n\tProvision of IR training to line management<br \/>\n\tLine management compliance with disciplinary procedures \u00a0and practices<br \/>\n\tCompetent representation of the region in administrative dealings with trade unions<br \/>\n\tThe provision of appropriate and competent advice and assistance to line management and staff.<br \/>\n\tMaintain accurate disciplinary dockets and records of proceedings<br \/>\n\tLiaise with GM: HR over matters requiring input and guidance<br \/>\n\tEffectively manage diary and calendar to meet SLA timeframes<br \/>\n\tEnsure line management are aware of the company policies and procedures<br \/>\n\tCompile reports \u00a0on statistics and trends for Management<br \/>\n\tKeep an active case register (CCMA, discipline and Labour Court)<\/p>\n<p>Effective Resourcing of Staff\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tRegular meetings with regional management to ascertain recruitment needs with a focus on the approved headcounts<br \/>\n\tAdherence to company policy wrt the approval of requisition and movement forms in conjunction with regional HR<br \/>\n\tEffective and efficient recruitment of all E2 Upper and below roles in line with G4S minimum standards.<br \/>\n\tEffective recruitment planning<br \/>\n\tLiaison with DOL and Community centres in relation to recruitment and career opportunities with G4S<br \/>\n\tWork within agreed time frame to ensure recruitment needs meet as feasible<br \/>\n\tBuilding of pipelines for critical identified roles<br \/>\n\tFormulate advertisements and distribution thereof through effective channels<br \/>\n\tPre-screening of applicants in line with relevant role requirements<br \/>\n\tConduct interviews where applicable<br \/>\n\tConduct panel interviews with line management<br \/>\n\tFacilitation of the vetting and screening process and procedure in assistance with regional HR administrators and clerks<br \/>\n\tEmployment in accordance with remuneration policy<br \/>\n\tThe provision of appropriate and competent advice and assistance to line management and staff.<br \/>\n\tEnsure line management are aware of the company policies and procedures<br \/>\n\tCompile reports \u00a0on statistics\u00a0and trends for Management<\/p>\n<p>Health and Safety<\/p>\n<p>\tParticipate in the design\/ development\/ review\/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks<br \/>\n\tReport all safety incidents to the relevant people<br \/>\n\tDiscuss all safety incidents<br \/>\n\tFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting\/committee\/representative\/management<br \/>\n\tAttend safety education and refresher programmes<br \/>\n\tComply with safety policies and procedures at workplace<br \/>\n\tDistribute safety information as and when required<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualification<\/p>\n<p>\tB-Tech in HRM, Psychology or Industrial Relations<\/p>\n<p>Experience\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience as HR practitioner with specific reference to industrial relations<br \/>\n\tExperience within a blue collar, labour management environment advantageous<br \/>\n\tSound recruitment experience<br \/>\n\tIR background necessary<\/p>\n<p>Skills and Attributes\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDriving change<br \/>\n\tAttention to
