Qualification\/s Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMaster\u2019s. degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking or related qualification recognised by SAQA;\u00a0
\n\tAt least\u00a015 years’ relevant senior managerial experience in the Public Service, a Multilateral Development Bank, or other International Financial Institutions; and\u00a0
\n\tThe successful candidate will be employed additional to the establishment in terms of the Public Service Act, 1994 (Proclamation No. 103 of 1994) and its Regulations. Should a National Treasury employee\/internal candidate be successful, their term of employment will be converted to a fixed term contract linked to the period of assignment, and they will be employed additional to the establishment.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tProvide strategic vision for the Office of the Executive Director on Bretton Woods Institutions policies, Constituency Countries, and operational issues;
\n\tApprove policies and lending\u00a0applications to client countries and ensure the Board\u2019s role in the governance and oversight of agencies of the World Bank Group (WBG);
\n\tInform the countries represented in the Constituency of the issues before the Board of Executive Directors;
\n\tPresent to the Board of Governors at the Bank\u2019s Annual Meeting, an audit of accounts, an administrative budget, and an annual report on the operations and policies of the Bank, as well as any other matters that, in their judgement, require submission to the Board of Governors;\u00a0
\n\tFulfil a dual function as an official of the institution and representative of the other member countries;
\n\tPrepare and articulate the positions of Constituency Member Countries in Executive Board and Committees;\u00a0
\n\tMaintain cordial relationships with other Executive Directors, to build consensus on issues affecting Africa and developing countries;\u00a0
\n\tProvide advice and relevant information to Constituency Member Countries;\u00a0
\n\tAdvise and prepare the policy agenda for Governors\u2019 Constituency meetings; and
\n\tAct for the Executive Director with full powers when the Executive Director is not present.<\/p>\n
