Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tBooyco Electronics is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to join our Field Services team. The successful candidate will ensure that deliveries are completed efficiently and accurately, while maintaining vehicle safety and supporting adhoc duties.<\/p>\n
Education, experience and competencies<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12)
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence (Code 8\/10, PDP advantageous)
\n\tProven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
\n\tStrong time-management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
\n\tKnowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
\n\tGood communication and customer service skills.
\n\tMedically fit and able to work in field environments.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDeliver orders via the most effective route within required time frames to meet customer expectations.
\n\tMaintain constant communication with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions.
\n\tAccurately document deliveries, verify order accuracy, and report discrepancies.
\n\tCollect customer feedback and resolve complaints in line with company policy, ensuring service excellence.
\n\tConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (tyres, brakes, fluids, lights, etc.) to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
\n\tMaintain a safe driving record, adhering strictly to traffic and company safety rules.
\n\tPerform occasional warehouse and counter support duties.
\n\tFollow company policies, procedures, and perform reasonable ad hoc tasks as assigned
