This role further supports RICA compliance through robust biometric verification governance, secure data handling, and effective sound stakeholder advisory.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Management of Law Enforcement Agency Requests<\/p>\n<p>\tDocument and register all requests in accordance with approved Forensic Services processes, procedures and standards<br \/>\n\tAcknowledge, respond and approve LEAs, Regulatory Bodies, investigative authorities, and internal queries within one working day in writing<br \/>\n\tAnalyse, complete, and finalise allocated, and approve requests within agreed or prescribed time frames.<br \/>\n\tMange and provide requested data to SAPS and other agencies within the pre\u2011agreed schedule<br \/>\n\tcoordinate and provide archived data within the pre\u2011agreed time period as discussed and agreed with management<br \/>\n\tProvide and assist business units with call detail requests in line with company policy<br \/>\n\tEnsure after\u2011hours requests are actioned timeously.<br \/>\n\tEnsure information is submitted in the agreed format\/template and guidelines<br \/>\n\tAssist with implementation of quality assurance procedures of Interception<\/p>\n<p>Interception and Monitoring Requests<\/p>\n<p>\tAnalyse, document, register and approve all interception and monitoring requests per approved Forensic Services processes and procedures<br \/>\n\tAcknowledge receipt of all interception and monitoring requests in writing<br \/>\n\tComplete allocated requests within agreed or prescribed timelines, including instructions received from the Office of Interception (OIC) as per warrants<br \/>\n\tSupport data provided by supplying proof of factual information when questioned<br \/>\n\tReport any access\u2011control breakdowns in the LIMS office to management<br \/>\n\tAssist with management of the Legal Interception and Monitoring System (LIMS) and perform regular backups<br \/>\n\tProvide feedback to management on issues and matters pertaining to the LIMS system<br \/>\n\tEnsure after\u2011hours requests are processed when received<\/p>\n<p>Biometric Compliance, Verification &amp; Governance<\/p>\n<p>\tVerify and manually authenticate customer biometric data in line with RICA legislation and internal compliance frameworks<br \/>\n\tConduct integrity and fraud\u2011risk checks on biometric submissions, escalating suspicious or non\u2011compliant cases<br \/>\n\tEnsure all biometric verification activities are logged, documented, and traceable for audit and regulatory purposes<br \/>\n\tProcess biometric verification requests within required SLA timelines to maintain compliance and operational efficiency<br \/>\n\tValidate customer identity information against approved internal systems and escalate discrepancies according to procedure<br \/>\n\tMaintain secure handling, storage, and confidentiality of biometric and identity\u2011related data<br \/>\n\tProvide compliance feedback and exception reporting to relevant business units<br \/>\n\tIdentify gaps, trends, or risks in biometric verification processes and recommend improvements<br \/>\n\tAssist in the review and enhancement of biometric verification controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks<\/p>\n<p>Expert Advisory &amp; Stakeholder Support<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on RICA compliance, biometric authentication requirements, LEA requests, and evidentiary standards<br \/>\n\tAdvise on complex data\u2011provision and interception matters to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory obligations<br \/>\n\tPartner with Legal, Risk, Fraud, and Forensics to interpret legislation and strengthen internal policies and controls<br \/>\n\tContribute to pre\u2011trial preparation and consultations, ensuring evidentiary readiness and clarity of submissions<\/p>\n<p>Equipment Identity Register (EIR \u2013 TransUnion)<\/p>\n<p>\tProcess and quality check bulk whitelist\/blacklist IMEI submissions, ensuring correct formatting, validated IMEI integrity, and accurate batch uploads<br \/>\n\tLiaise with TransUnion and internal stakeholders to resolve EIR related issues, ensure SLA compliance, and improve device identity governance processes<\/p>\n<p>System Management (LIMS, e-RICA &amp; Biometric Tools)<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport day\u2011to\u2011day operation, maintenance, and user support for LIMS, e\u2011RICA platforms, biometric verification tools, and EIR portals<br \/>\n\tPerform\/assist with system backups, access reviews, and routine control checks to ensure integrity and availability<br \/>\n\tIdentify system issues, data anomalies, or access\u2011control concerns and escalate to technical owners<br \/>\n\tDocument system requirements and contribute to enhancement roadmaps to improve compliance effectiveness<br \/>\n\tAssist with testing and validating system changes to ensure alignment with investigative and compliance needs<\/p>\n<p>Document Maintenance and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>\tComplete and sign affidavits as per analytical findings<br \/>\n\tGenerate and maintain monthly feedback reports<br \/>\n\tProvide monthly reports on all enquiries, requests, and archived requests received<br \/>\n\tEnsure accurate daily keeping and version control of case files and submissions<br \/>\n\tAssist with generation of RICA compliance, exception, and validation statistics as required<\/p>\n<p>Projects and Enhancements<\/p>\n<p>\tParticipate in compliance, forensic, and technology projects including new e\u2011RICA integrations and process improvements<br \/>\n\tConduct readiness assessments and contribute SME input to project documentation and change impacts<br \/>\n\tSupport pilot testing, user training, and rollout activities to embed enhancements effectively<br \/>\n\tTrack and report on project actions, risks, and outcomes relevant to LEA support and RICA compliance<\/p>\n<p>Court Appearance and Expert Support<\/p>\n<p>\tPrepare and attend pre\u2011trial conferences<br \/>\n\tRepresent the company in court as an expert witness with a high professional standard<br \/>\n\tEnsure all evidence and documentation meet legal and evidentiary requirements<\/p>\n<p>Perform any other related duties as requested by Management<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist with ad hoc reviews, forensic investigations, and other tasks as requested by management<br \/>\n\tEnsure the standby MSISDN is always allocated and answered for LEA after\u2011hours requests<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tDegree in Law (Criminal Justice) and\/or Data Analytics is preferable<br \/>\n\tRelevant qualification in IT, Telecommunications, or Network Engineering, with basic understanding of mobile network architecture (including RAN, cell sites, and coverage) will be advantageous<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 accumulated experience in telecom, analytics, court experiences, documentation of legal legislative matters for court records.<br \/>\n\tPolice Experience (2 years) could be advantageous.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, as well as in writing.
