The role ensures alignment between business needs and skills development initiatives, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting long-term workforce sustainability<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>L&amp;D Strategy &amp; Governance<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and implement the organisational Learning and Development strategy aligned to business objectives<br \/>\n\tDrive alignment between skills development initiatives and workforce planning priorities<br \/>\n\tEstablish and maintain L&amp;D frameworks, policies, and standards across the organisation<br \/>\n\tEnsure continuous improvement of learning practices in line with industry trends and best practice<br \/>\n\tProvide strategic input into talent pipeline development and capability building<br \/>\n\tOversee adherence to quality management standards (e.g. ISO) within the L&amp;D function<\/p>\n<p>Skills Development &amp; Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g. MQA, WSP, ATR, Mining Charter)<br \/>\n\tProvide strategic direction on skills development planning and reporting<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment of training initiatives with legislative and compliance requirements<br \/>\n\tMonitor and mitigate risks related to non-compliance and audit findings<br \/>\n\tEnsure training records and documentation systems meet company, audit, and regulatory requirements<br \/>\n\tOversee accreditation requirements and quality standards for training delivery<br \/>\n\tOversee internal and external training reporting, including SLP, BBBEE verification and regulatory submissions<\/p>\n<p>Learning Programme Design &amp; Effectiveness<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide oversight on the design and implementation of learning programmes aligned to business needs<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective frameworks are in place for training needs analysis and programme evaluation<br \/>\n\tDrive measurement of learning impact and return on investment<br \/>\n\tOversee the development of structured programmes (e.g. learnerships, graduate programmes, leadership development)<br \/>\n\tEnsure consistency and quality of learning content and delivery across the organisation<\/p>\n<p>Talent Pipeline &amp; Capability Development<\/p>\n<p>\tEnable the development of talent pipelines for critical and scarce skills (with a focus on junior to mid-level roles)<br \/>\n\tSupport succession planning through structured development interventions<br \/>\n\tDrive initiatives that build technical, operational, and leadership capability<br \/>\n\tPartner with Organisational Development to ensure alignment on leadership and talent strategies<\/p>\n<p>Digital Learning &amp; Innovation<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide strategic direction on the use of learning technologies and digital platforms<br \/>\n\tDrive adoption of e-learning and blended learning solutions<br \/>\n\tIdentify and implement innovative approaches to workplace learning<br \/>\n\tEnsure optimisation of learning systems and tools for scalability and efficiency<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Management &amp; Advisory<\/p>\n<p>\tPartner with business leaders to understand capability needs and translate them into learning solutions<br \/>\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. training providers, regulatory bodies)<br \/>\n\tProvide advisory support to leadership on skills development and learning strategies<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment between business priorities and L&amp;D delivery<\/p>\n<p>Financial<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide input into the L&amp;D budget aligned to strategic priorities<br \/>\n\tAccountable for Training budget for all operations<br \/>\n\tMonitor and optimise training spend to ensure cost-effective delivery<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective utilisation of external training providers and resources<br \/>\n\tTrack and report on return on investment for learning initiatives<\/p>\n<p>Qualification Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tMatric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED qualifications such as the N3 Certificate.<br \/>\n\tRelevant Degree or National Diploma (essential)<br \/>\n\tISO Internal Auditor (advantageous)<br \/>\n\tValid Red Ticket (essential)<br \/>\n\tETDP level 5 (essential)<br \/>\n\tRelevant processing plant, Engineering or Mining qualification (advantageous)<\/p>\n<p>Experience and Skills Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\t5\u20138+ years\u2019 experience in Learning &amp;
