Key Competencies & requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBCom Degree or any other relevant qualification is essential.
\n\t3 years\u2019 supply chain or procurement experience.
\n\tSyspro experience is an added advantage
\n\tExposure to international procurement practice will be advantageous.
\n\tSuitable candidate will be highly energetic, self-driven, independent, self-motivated person with extensive problem solving and communication skills.
\n\tStrong financial performance: optimized supplier costs and performance results. Cost and performance vs. industry standards and competitors
\n\tMust be confident to work on his\/her own initiative.
\n\tMust be able to work well under pressure and able to successfully manage tight deadlines and multitask.<\/p>\n
Key Functions of Role, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:<\/p>\n
\tTo perform duties in sourcing, negotiating and finalizing all orders relating to the purchase of direct and indirect materials for the company.
\n\tManages a continuous improvement program regarding external suppliers and benchmarks total cost and performance.
\n\tConduct regular price comparisons between various retail chains ensuring consistent competitiveness.
\n\tNegotiate with vendors and suppliers of agreed materials for cost reductions and delivery schedules utilising initiatives such as consignment stock agreements.
\n\tRegular procurement from local as well as from international suppliers to ensure consistent supply and availability.
\n\tDaily price negotiations with suppliers.
\n\tRelationship building with internal and external customers throughout the value chain.
\n\tDaily stock level management, forecasting and demand planning.
\n\tWith collaboration of technical team ensure that suppliers deliver desired quality.
\n\tResolve all relevant internal and external queries.
\n\tEnsure customer and supplier inquiries are resolved efficiently.
\n\tProcessing of Requisitions.
\n\tCompletion of supplier application forms.
\n\tPlacing orders with suppliers.
\n\tQuotes requested from suppliers.
\n\tOther administrative tasks as requested.<\/p>\n
