The Overall Purpose of the role<\/p>\n
\tThis is an opportunity for a high-potential and driven graduate to join our dynamic team in Tyger Valley (Cape Town) from 1 February 2027 as an\u00a0Actuarial Specialist.\u00a0This role offers the successful candidate broad exposure to the investment and retirement landscape, with a particular focus on the Smoothed Bonus portfolio.
\n\tThe incumbent will work closely with, and report to, the Head of the Smoothed Bonus Centre of Excellence, contributing to the delivery of the team\u2019s strategic objectives, including profitability, growth, innovation, and enhanced client centricity. The role provides a strong foundation for developing deep technical expertise while actively supporting the evolution of market-leading solutions.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Technical product support<\/p>\n
\tProvide technical product support to distribution team (including competitor analysis)
\n\tDraft and maintain product information
\n\tAssist with specialised proposals and client reports
\n\tAssist the team with integrating AI to automate and improve tasks
\n\tOver time, deliver investment presentations to existing clients<\/p>\n
Solution development<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the development and implementation of new solutions, including research and idea testing and enhancing existing solutions<\/p>\n
Analysis and information gathering<\/p>\n
\tDocuments changes to existing business processes when relevant to implementation
\n\tProvide effective management information<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tConsult and engage with key stakeholders including, actuarial, administration, product owners, investment specialists, intermediaries and clients
\n\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tActuarial Bachelor\u2019s degree
\n\tProgress towards an Actuarial qualification
\n\tProficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, CoPilot)\u00a0<\/p>\n
