MAIN PURPOSE:<\/p>\n
\tTo attend to all the asset care requirements to ensure the overall equipment effectiveness is achieved to ensure cost-effective manufacturing of products and maintenance of equipment.<\/p>\n
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and achievement of OEE targets.
\n\tAttend to breakdowns and perform proactive maintenance to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
\n\tConduct condition monitoring, servicing, and repairs to ensure equipment safety, functionality, and cost efficiency.
\n\tRecondition machine components and support spare parts availability to reduce maintenance and procurement costs.
\n\tPerform basic mould repairs and maintenance to ensure product quality and equipment uptime.
\n\tTrain and coach apprentices and operators on maintenance practices and autonomous maintenance tasks.
\n\tEnsure correct lubricants and maintenance materials are available according to manufacturer standards.
\n\tMaintain housekeeping and safety standards by keeping work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free.<\/p>\n

\n\tN3 Mechanical Qualification
\n\tHaving passed the Trade test
\n\t3 years’ post apprentice experience in plant maintenance in a manufacturing environment
\n\tHydraulics knowledge & Pneumatics knowledge
\n\tKnowledge of pumps
\n\tProduct knowledge & Equipment knowledge
\n\tKnowledge of basic electrical and PLC functioning
\n\tUnderstand how gearboxes function
\n\tBasic knowledge of compressors
\n\tBasic knowledge of plant refrigeration systems
\n\tKnowledge of machining and drilling principles<\/p>\n
