Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tA Master of Engineering (MEng) or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 9 in Engineering, with an undergraduate qualification in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Light Current), with a specialisation in electronic and computer engineering or a closely related field.
\n\tA minimum of three (3) years\u2019 teaching, professional, or relevant industrial experience in electronic and computer engineering or related engineering disciplines.
\n\tMust be currently registered for, or willing to immediately register with, the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).<\/p>\n
Additional Recommendations<\/p>\n
\tDemonstrable experience in telecommunication engineering, including communication systems, digital and\/or analogue communications, signal processing, wireless and mobile communications, networking, RF and microwave systems, or related technologies.
\n\tMust be currently registered for, or willing to immediately register for and pursue, a doctoral (PhD) qualification in Engineering
\n\tProven research experience, including postgraduate student supervision.
\n\tEvidence of a recent research publication record in an accredited journal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Summary of duties<\/p>\n
\tLecture, assess, and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
\n\tTake responsibility for a minimum of two (2) modules per semester, in line with the Department\u2019s fair workload model.
\n\tDevelop, review, and continuously improve teaching and learning materials, and contribute to or lead curriculum development initiatives.
\n\tSupervise undergraduate capstone projects as well as postgraduate research projects.
\n\tParticipate in departmental administration and other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or delegated authority.
\n\tServe, on a rotational basis, as Chairperson of a subject-level committee.\u00a0
\n\tConduct research and publish in DHET-accredited journals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
