\tThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations within a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role oversees the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of stock while leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
\n\tThe successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational continuity, and ensuring that customer and business delivery requirements are consistently achieved.<\/p>\n
Inherent Job Requirements<\/p>\n
This role includes physical and operational demands inherent to a high-volume FMCG warehouse environment. The successful candidate must be able to:<\/p>\n
\tStand, walk, and remain on their feet for extended periods (8\u201312 hour shifts).
\n\tLift, move, and handle stock and equipment of up to 25 kg unassisted on a regular basis.
\n\tWork shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational and dispatch cycles.
\n\tOperate in cold-storage, ambient, and outdoor loading-bay environments.
\n\tSuccessfully pass a pre-employment medical and physical fitness assessment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tSupervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
\n\tLead, schedule, and motivate warehouse staff while managing attendance and shift hand-overs.
\n\tEnsure stock accuracy through cycle counts, perpetual inventory management, and full stock takes.
\n\tMaintain FMCG stock control processes including FIFO\/FEFO rotation, batch tracking, and short-dated stock management.
\n\tEnforce health, safety, hygiene, and food-safety standards in accordance with FMCG operational requirements and OHSA regulations.
\n\tMonitor warehouse KPIs including order accuracy, dispatch turnaround times, and stock variances, escalating issues where necessary.
\n\tOperate and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP-related processes.
\n\tUse Microsoft 365 tools to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
\n\tUtilise AI tools to improve productivity, reporting efficiency, communication, and operational decision-making.
\n\tLiaise with procurement, sales, and transport teams to ensure efficient movement of goods and stock availability.
\n\tManage housekeeping standards, equipment maintenance, and the overall cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 (essential).
\n\tRelevant Diploma or Certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (advantageous).
\n\tMinimum 3\u20135 years\u2019 warehouse experience within the FMCG industry (essential and non-negotiable).
\n\tAt least 2 years\u2019 experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
\n\tValid forklift or reach-truck license (advantageous).
\n\tClear criminal record.<\/p>\n

\tExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.
\n\tAbility to communicate effectively with staff, management, suppliers, and customers.
\n\tStrong working proficiency in Microsoft 365, including:

\n\tStrong administrative and reporting capabilities using Excel and warehouse systems.
