\tA fast-growing AI Product and InsurTech business is building next-generation AI agents that operate inside real-world business environments, handling live customer interactions, automating workflows, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes within a regulated insurance environment is looking for a Mid-Level Business Analyst who can operate confidently in ambiguity, translating high-level business vision into structured, build-ready specifications for engineering teams.
\n\tThis is not a traditional documentation role, but rather a highly analytical, product-focused role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, challenging assumptions, and shaping AI-enabled products from concept through to delivery.<\/p>\n
DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tLead business discovery sessions with stakeholders to uncover true business needs and operational pain points.
\n\tMap current-state business processes and design improved AI-enabled workflows.
\n\tOwn requirements gathering from discovery through to delivery, testing, and acceptance.
\n\tTranslate executive vision and business objectives into structured, build-ready specifications.
\n\tWrite detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
\n\tDefine system inputs, outputs, acceptable behaviour ranges, human intervention points, and escalation workflows.
\n\tIdentify edge cases, failure modes, exception handling, and operational risks as part of requirements definition.
\n\tChallenge assumptions using data, process analysis, and stakeholder interrogation.
\n\tRun structured workshops and facilitate alignment across conflicting stakeholder priorities.
\n\tSupport sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, and Agile delivery ceremonies.
\n\tMaintain requirements traceability throughout the full product lifecycle.
\n\tWork closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure successful delivery.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Business Analysis<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 3+ years\u2019 experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst.
\n\tProven experience owning delivery from discovery through implementation.
\n\tStrong experience gathering, analysing, documenting, and validating business requirements.
\n\tAbility to work confidently with vague, evolving, or incomplete requirements.<\/p>\n
Process & Documentation<\/p>\n
\tStrong process mapping skills using BPMN, UML, or similar methodologies.
\n\tExperience writing PRDs, user stories, functional specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
\n\tExperience maintaining requirements traceability throughout delivery.<\/p>\n
Agile Delivery<\/p>\n
\tStrong experience working in Agile delivery environments.
\n\tExposure to sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and delivery ceremonies.<\/p>\n
Data & Analysis<\/p>\n
\tAbility to query, interpret, and validate data using SQL, Excel, BI tools, or similar.
\n\tStrong analytical thinking with the ability to challenge assumptions using data.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tStrong facilitation, workshop leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n\tComfortable challenging executives, business owners, and operational teams when clarity is required.
\n\tAbility to navigate competing priorities and conflicting business objectives.<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tExperience defining requirements for AI products, automation platforms, recommendation engines, decision-support systems, or non-deterministic products.
\n\tExperience designing workflows where human review, exception handling, and escalation paths are required.
\n\tExposure to regulated industries such as Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Compliance-driven environments.
\n\tExperience with MoSCoW prioritisation or similar structured prioritisation frameworks.
\n\tProduct delivery experience within startup, scale-up, or product-led environments.<\/p>\n
