The role is focused on strategic account ownership, retention, growth, and long\u2011term partnership development, positioning Discovery as a trusted advisor and preferred employee benefits partner.<br \/>\n\tThe Key Account Manager provides senior\u2011level oversight across servicing, renewals, and client engagement, driving proactive interventions, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring a consistently high\u2011quality client experience across the full value chain.<\/p>\n<p>Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to<\/p>\n<p>\tManage and own a portfolio of large, complex and\/or high\u2011value employer schemes in line with the Account Management segmentation model.<br \/>\n\tAct as the senior relationship owner for key brokers and employers, building trusted, long\u2011term partnerships.<br \/>\n\tDevelop, execute, and maintain strategic account plans, including retention strategies, growth opportunities, and engagement roadmaps.<br \/>\n\tProactively manage scheme risk, renewals, benefit enhancements, and escalations, ensuring early identification and mitigation of potential issues.<br \/>\n\tLead and oversee complex queries and escalations, coordinating across Client Relationship Partners (CRPs), operational teams, and specialist functions.<br \/>\n\tDeliver high\u2011quality, insight\u2011driven reporting, analysis, and recommendations to brokers and employers.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate and lead strategic client and broker engagements, including quarterly and annual reviews, workshops, and executive\u2011level discussions.<br \/>\n\tPlay a key role in client retention and growth initiatives, including cross\u2011sell and upsell opportunities across the CEB value proposition.<br \/>\n\tPartner closely with Business Integration, Analytics, Actuarial, Technical Marketing, and Operations teams to deliver integrated, value\u2011adding solutions.<br \/>\n\tProvide guidance, coaching, and support to Account Managers and Junior Account Managers where required.<br \/>\n\tContribute to the continuous improvement of account management frameworks, processes, and service models.<br \/>\n\tMaintain strong awareness of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics impacting clients and schemes.<\/p>\n<p>Personal Attributes<\/p>\n<p>\tHighly developed relationship\u2011building and Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tMatric (required)<br \/>\n\tRelevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)<br \/>\n\t5+ years\u2019 experience in:<br \/>\n\tAccount management, client relationship management, or employee benefits consulting<br \/>\n\tStrong experience in Employee Benefits (Group Risk and\/or Umbrella Funds), including complex schemes<br \/>\n\tProven track record of managing senior broker and employer relationships<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated experience in retention, renewals, and strategic account planning<br \/>\n\tAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)<br
