RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>Business Development<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and direct client engagement.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and implement business development plans aligned to company growth targets.<br \/>\n\tGenerate leads and convert prospects into sustainable business relationships.<br \/>\n\tAchieve agreed sales and revenue targets within set timeframes.<br \/>\n\tExpand the company\u2019s client base across targeted sectors or markets.<\/p>\n<p>Client Relationship Management<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tUnderstand client needs and provide tailored solutions that add value.<br \/>\n\tAct as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the business cycle.<br \/>\n\tEnsure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.<\/p>\n<p>Sales Process and Proposal Development<\/p>\n<p>\tPrepare and present proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial offerings.<br \/>\n\tManage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.<br \/>\n\tNegotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements where required.<br \/>\n\tEnsure sales documentation is accurate, professional, and aligned with company standards.<\/p>\n<p>Market Intelligence and Strategy<\/p>\n<p>\tMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.<br \/>\n\tIdentify emerging opportunities, risks, and areas for business expansion.<br \/>\n\tContribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies.<br \/>\n\tProvide feedback from the market to support product, service, and service delivery improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Internal Collaboration<\/p>\n<p>\tWork closely with operations, technical, finance, and other internal teams to ensure client needs are met.<br \/>\n\tSupport the handover of new business into operational delivery where applicable.<br \/>\n\tAssist in the development of internal processes, tools, and systems to improve business development effectiveness.<br \/>\n\tShare insights and best practices across the team.<\/p>\n<p>KEY PERFORMANCE knowledge and practical experience in:<\/p>\n<p>\tSales and business development principles.<br \/>\n\tClient relationship management.<br \/>\n\tLead generation and opportunity conversion.<br \/>\n\tProposal writing and presentation preparation.<br \/>\n\tNegotiation and commercial discussions.<br \/>\n\tMarket research and competitor analysis.<br \/>\n\tBasic financial understanding and pricing principles.<br \/>\n\tProject coordination and internal stakeholder management.<br \/>\n\tMicrosoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.<\/p>\n<p>Additional strengths:<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong planning and organisational ability.<br \/>\n\tExcellent follow-through and attention to detail.<br \/>\n\tAbility to work across functions and build trust quickly.<br \/>\n\tStrong problem-solving and decision-making ability.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tRelevant Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Sales, or a related field.<br \/>\n\tMinimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar commercial role.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred:<\/p>\n<p>\tExperience in a service-based, consulting, or solutions-driven business environment.<br \/>\n\tProven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.<br \/>\n\tExperience in preparing proposals, tenders, or commercial presentations.<br \/>\n\tExposure to strategic account management and stakeholder engagement.<\/p>\n<p>WORKING CONDITIONS<\/p>\n<p>\tThe role may require travel to client sites, meetings, and business events.<br \/>\n\tThe incumbent may be required to work extended hours to meet deadlines or client needs.<br \/>\n\tThe position requires regular interaction with external clients, prospects, and internal teams.<\/p>\n<p>REPORTING RELATIONSHIP<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Business Development Manager reports directly to
