{"id":36476,"date":"2026-05-24T12:02:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-24T12:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/head-human-capital\/"},"modified":"2026-05-24T12:02:41","modified_gmt":"2026-05-24T12:02:41","slug":"head-human-capital","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/head-human-capital\/","title":{"rendered":"Head: Human Capital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and implement HR and talent management strategies aligned to OPFA\u2019s mandate.<br \/>\n\tLead and coordinate HR projects, organisational design and effectiveness, and change management initiatives.<br \/>\n\tLead workforce planning, succession planning, retention, and staff development initiatives.<br \/>\n\tLead remuneration strategy, benchmarking and incentive structures to ensure alignment to the organisation\u2019s strategic objectives<br \/>\n\tManage recruitment, onboarding, and job evaluation to attract and retain talent.<br \/>\n\tOversee training, PDPs, the Workplace Skills Plan, and annual training reporting.<br \/>\n\tDrive performance management processes, compliance, and coaching for managers and staff.<br \/>\n\tManage employee communication, engagement, and the Employee Health and Wellness Programme.<br \/>\n\tLead Employment Equity, skills development, and organisational transformation initiatives.<br \/>\n\tEnsure compliance with HR policies, legislation, risk management, records, and audit requirements.<br \/>\n\tManage employee relations, rewards and benefits.<br \/>\n\tProvide strategic HR guidance and support to EXCO and other relevant governance forums.<br \/>\n\tChampion OPFA\u2019s HR Digital Transformation, including adoption of HR technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.<br \/>\n\tBuild, develop and mentor the HR Team.<br \/>\n\tDrive the OPFA\u2019s employer brand strategy, positioning the organisation as an employer of choice in the public sector and financial services landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements for the role are:<\/p>\n<p>\tRelevant Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or Business Studies and a postgraduate qualification in, HR, Social Sciences or Business Administration \/ Management.<br \/>\n\tAt least 8 years of HR Generalist and organisational development \/ effectiveness experience, including 5 years at a management level and at least 3 years at a senior management level with people management experience.<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategy.<br \/>\n\tProven experience engaging with executive leadership and boards.<br \/>\n\tRelevant knowledge of HR legislation and HR governance frameworks.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge and experience of HR information management systems and data analytics.<br \/>\n\tExperience leading organisational transformation and change management initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The following will be considered as an added advantage:<\/p>\n<p>\tA Master\u2019s degree in HR, Social Sciences or Business Administration will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tRegistration with the South African Board for People Practices.<br \/>\n\tExperience in financial services sector.<br \/>\n\tExperience in reward policy development and implementation.<br \/>\n\tExperience with reporting to governance\/board committees.<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with HR data dashboards and reporting tools.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>opfa.mcidirecthire.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/opfa.mcidirecthire.com","_company_name":"Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"The office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator is a statutory body established in terms of section 30B of the Pension Funds Act, 24 of 1956.
