Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ National Senior Certificate<\/p>\n
National Diploma or Certificate:<\/p>\n
\tConcrete Technology
\n\tCivil Engineering
\n\tProduction Management
\n\tOperations Management (Advantageous)
\n\tConcrete Technology Certification will be an added advantage
\n\tMinimum 3 to 5 years in the Ready-Mix \/ Concrete \/ Aggregates Production environment
\n\tMinimum 2 years as a Supervisor in a Production \/ Plant Environment.
\n\tExperience in concrete batching operations \u00a0\/ dispatch coordination
\n\tKnowledge of RMX production processed & Quality control standards
\n\tUnderstanding of concrete mix designs
\n\tComputer literate (Microsoft Word & Excel)
\n\tExperience in maintenance of fixed plant equipment (e.g. feeders, belt conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, etc.) and mobile equipment \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure production processes run reliably and efficiently to optimise output.
\n\tManage and coordinate production, administration, and maintenance activities.
\n\tOversee plant and fleet utilisation, ensuring optimal use of equipment and resources.
\n\tManage materials, stock levels, and related inspections to ensure availability and control.
\n\tControl the allocated budget and ensure adherence to financial constraints and forecasts.
\n\tEnsure all documentation is accurately completed and submitted timeously.
\n\tEnforce short interval controls in line with company policies and procedures.
\n\tConduct regular plant walkabouts, inspections, and enforce housekeeping standards.
\n\tEnsure maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspections are performed.
\n\tManage Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) programmes and compliance.
\n\tEstablish and maintain a safe, healthy, and worker-friendly environment.
\n\tEnsure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
\n\tMaintain clear and effective communication with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
\n\tLead, manage, and monitor the performance of direct reports.
\n\tConduct performance reviews and regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
\n\tAddress staff challenges, including HR and industrial relations matters, in line with labour practices.
\n\tMaintain discipline and take appropriate corrective or disciplinary action where required.
\n\tCoach, train, and develop employees, including on-the-job training and skills development initiatives.
\n\tSupport recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of employees.
\n\tApprove leave and manage overtime in line with operational requirements.
\n\tConduct regular team meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
\n\tEnsure high levels of morale, integrity, and work ethic within the team.
\n\tPrioritise and execute plant projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\tWork overtime when required to meet operational demands<\/p>\n
