A wildlife conservation organization is seeking a SPECIES MONITOR to join their team.
\n\tThe organization is a leader in endangered species conservation and monitoring. It looks for individuals who are passionate about wildlife and dedicated to making a difference. Work focuses on a variety of priority species, including wild dogs, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos.
\n\tThe ideal candidate will be adaptable, willing to live in a remote environment, and capable of working independently as part of a small team. This position is an opportunity for a conservationist who wants to contribute directly to the protection of Africa’s wildlife.<\/p>\n
Core Criteria:<\/p>\n
\tN.Dip. Nat.Con. \/ BSc. Conservation Ecology or similar qualification is preferred.
\n\tFGASA qualified with field experience, preferably in a Big 5 environment.
\n\tValid driver’s and PrDP license.
\n\tValid First Aid Certificate.
\n\tExcellent English communication skills.
\n\tAbility to carry out field monitoring, including the use of radio-telemetry and camera trapping.
\n\tWillingness to host and provide a guided experience to volunteers.
\n\tBasic computer literacy and data management skills.<\/p>\n
