\tiqbusiness is seeking to employ a\u00a0QA Specialist\u00a0on a 12-month contract to collaborate with an international partner from our offices in Welgemoed, Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site; 2 days WFH).
\n\tAs a QA specialising in web and mobile environments, you will design and execute rigorous test frameworks and automation strategies to ensure product excellence.
\n\tYou will leverage critical thinking and clear communication to challenge existing workflows and drive the continual improvement of testing disciplines across the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical background in automation technologies and a proactive approach to refining quality standards.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and Implement Web and Mobile-App Test Plans: Create comprehensive testing plans that detail the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of intended testing activities.
\n\tBased on the requirements, design, write, and execute test cases to verify that the software works as expected.
\n\tResponsible for finding and reporting bugs within the system. Document the bug, how it was found, and the steps to reproduce it.
\n\tWhere possible, write automated tests or use existing testing tools to speed up the testing process and make it more reliable.
\n\tAfter bugs have been fixed or new features added, conduct regression testing to ensure that previously working features still function as expected.
\n\tWork closely with the development team to understand the features and functionality to be tested and to discuss any bugs or issues found during testing.
\n\tDocument testing processes, results, and discrepancies for future reference and for use by other teams and stakeholders.
\n\tTest how systems perform under heavy loads and stress, to ensure it can handle peak times.
\n\tConduct usability and accessibility testing to ensure the product is user-friendly, easy to navigate and meets accessibility standards.
\n\tProactively stay updated on the latest testing tools, strategies, and industry trends.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
\n\t4+ years of relevant experience in testing websites and web applications, and mobile applications
\n\tExperience working on complex websites and applications
\n\tExperience in regression and load\/stress testing
\n\tAutomation experience<\/p>\n

\n\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment<\/p>\n
