Duties\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nDesign, implement, maintain and improve H&S management systems:<\/p>\n
\tDesign, drive implementation, maintenance and improvement of ISO 45000 management systems (Including ISO compliance)
\n\tEnsure adherence to Omnia Group risk methodology and practices
\n\tValidate and verify the correct specifications, protocols and standards are applied in the implementation of H&S management systems
\n\tAssist in development and revision of Health and Safety related documentation and ensure implementation and compliance thereto across site
\n\tPromote continuous improvement of H&S management systems and processes
\n\tAlign H&S management systems with holistic IMS for site
\n\tProvide support and coaching to SHERQ team and customers<\/p>\n
Lead Health & Safety Business Risks Assessment and review:<\/p>\n
\tDetermine, identify and review H&S risks
\n\tDetermine and review H&S trends\u00a0
\n\tAssess and review risk ratings
\n\tDetermine priorities and actions
\n\tMaintain risks on IsoMetrix
\n\tProvide support to line management and SHERQ team on Baselines, Issue Based and Continuous risk assessments<\/p>\n
Conduct IMS internal audits:<\/p>\n
\tPlanning and scheduling of bi-annual IMS audits
\n\tConduct audits in order to ensure integrity of systems maintained
\n\tEnsure reports are issued and findings captured in IMS
\n\tEnsure findings and actions are closed-out appropriately
\n\tReport to management on status of findings and actions
\n\tParticipate and support on verification and external audits<\/p>\n
Verify effectiveness of \u00a0action management system:<\/p>\n
\tVerify action management system effectiveness through follow up on actions close out effectiveness
\n\tProvide oversight and coaching on IMS action management to line management and SHERQ team<\/p>\n
Conduct investigations:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all events (incidents and non-conformances) are raised and reported
\n\tBe proficient in leading investigations
\n\tFacilitate investigations
\n\tEnsure quality of investigations by standardizing on investigation methodology and ensuring root causes and controls are adequate to remediate
\n\tEnsure investigation is captured in IsoMetrix
\n\tEnsure investigation actions are managed
\n\tMake use of other events (incident & NC-learnings) to find opportunities for improvement<\/p>\n
System Analysis & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure expansion of H&S electronic data reporting system and capabilities thereof
\n\tEnsure all data is submitted timeously
\n\tAnalyze, trend and maintain operational H&S data<\/p>\n
Support and communication:<\/p>\n
\tAttend and communicate SHR requirements within operational meetings as needed and agreed to
\n\tDevelop\/Update and deliver SHR training and awareness programs, in the plant as well as classroom training
\n\tEnsure H&S topics are developed and shared with plants to improve H&S awareness
\n\tLead departmental meetings and ensure compliance to the business meeting structures and communication strategies<\/p>\n
SHE Improvement and support:<\/p>\n
\tThrough analysis of data, create a risk profile of the operations
\n\tFacilitate, review and implement of H&S management plans for the SHERQ team as well as the plants and \u00a0as needed to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency
\n\tEnsure improvement plans are tracked and closed out as per due dates<\/p>\n
Legal Compliance:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify legal requirements relevant to the operations
\n\tEnsure that inspections are done so as to identify legal noncompliance
\n\tCollaborate with and assist the operational teams in solving legal noncompliances
\n\tFollow up to ensure the legal noncompliances are resolved or escalated to higher levels for resolution<\/p>\n
