The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n
\tPerform pension administration duties, including retirement benefits counselling, processing of claims, in accordance with retirement fund legislation, regulations, rules and relevant policies.
\n\tPrepare and provide information within a defined context to enable effective decision-making by trustees and other relevant stakeholders.
\n\tPerform general administration, including preparation of payment instructions, data capturing and record-keeping, ensuring the smooth running of the section\u2019s operations.
\n\tEngage with members of the SARB Retirement Fund and other stakeholders, demonstrating a service- oriented approach and the ability to gather, communicate and explain information fluently.
\n\tProactively broaden knowledge of pension administration, displaying willingness to make improvements in own work (including methods and practices).
\n\tEvaluate own performance against given criteria, identify and address task specific learning needs.
\n\tPerform work independently within established practices, given processes, rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with standards, policies and other guidelines in executing own tasks.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:<\/p>\n
\ta National Diploma or an Advanced Certificate (NQF\u00a06) in Financial Management or an equivalent qualification in a related field; and\u00a0
\n\tone to two years\u2019 experience in a financial services environment, specifically in pensions administration.<\/p>\n
