About The Team<\/p>\n
\tYou\u2019ll be part of a collaborative, delivery\u2011focused team operating in the credit environment, where quality and reliability are critical. The team works on new features, enhancements, and tactical solutions, rather than only maintaining legacy systems – meaning your automation work directly supports forward\u2011looking products and improvements. This role sits within an Agile delivery environment, partnering closely with developers, business stakeholders, and other testers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.<\/p>\n
What You’ll Be Doing
\nAs a Test Automation Engineer II, you\u2019ll enable and enhance software quality by combining robust automation practices with sound testing fundamentals, including some manual testing where needed. Your focus will include:<\/p>\n
\tDesigning, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks
\n\tTesting across front\u2011end, back\u2011end, and APIs, with a strong emphasis on automation
\n\tContributing to integration and regression testing, especially as new products and features are introduced
\n\tWorking with Playwright and JavaScript as core automation technologies
\n\tCollaborating with the team to continuously improve testing approaches, environments, and pipelines
\n\tEnsuring quality throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)<\/p>\n
What We’re Looking For<\/p>\n
\t3\u20135 years\u2019 hands\u2011on experience in test automation
\n\tStrong understanding of automation frameworks, test case design, and execution
\n\tExperience with integration, regression, and API testing
\n\tWorking knowledge of CI\/CD practices and version control (e.g. Git)
\n\tA relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or similar<\/p>\n
Strongly preferred:<\/p>\n
\tISTQB Foundation Level (or equivalent testing certification)
\n\tExperience using Playwright and JavaScript for automation
\n\tExposure to banking or credit environments, or complex transactional systems
\n\tExperience working in Agile teams<\/p>\n
Minimum Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 National Certificate\/Vocational
\n\tRelevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing
\n\tEducation (Ideal or Preferred)
\n\tSoftware Testing – Foundation Level through the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB)<\/p>\n
