\tJonathan Ball Publishers is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join its Christian Books Division. The position is based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and requires national travel. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, commercially minded, and passionate about Christian books and ministry, with a strong ability to build partnerships and drive sales growth in a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPromote and sell a defined range of titles on a monthly basis
\n\tAchieve and exceed sales targets
\n\tDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and retail partners
\n\tPrepare and submit accurate monthly sales reports
\n\tEnsure optimal stock levels and effective in-store merchandising, including backlist titles
\n\tMaintain strong and up-to-date product knowledge
\n\tExpand and maintain the Christian customer database
\n\tAttend selected after-hours events, including book launches, festivals and customer engagements<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English
\n\tStrong interpersonal, organisational and administrative abilities
\n\tProven sales experience, including presentation and negotiation skills
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
\n\tStrong problem-solving and analytical skills
\n\tSelf-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
\n\tGenuine interest in Christian books and the publishing industry
\n\tExperience in Christian ministry and\/or a sound understanding of the Christian market and ministry landscape
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
\n\tMatric is essential; a relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
\n\tValid Code 08 driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel nationally<\/p>\n
