Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in pharmacy with Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a pharmacist
\n\tAt least 2- 3 years working experience as a research pharmacist
\n\tClinical trials experience
\n\tGCP training with an accredited provider (e.g. Crede)
\n\tExcellent Computer literacy (Ms Office)
\n\tAbility to work independently and within a team
\n\tAbility to use own initiative and facilitate change
\n\tAbility to multitask and be flexible
\n\tAbility to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
\n\tExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)
\n\tStrong decision making and problem solving
\n\tWork Standards
\n\tExcellent planning and organizational skills
\n\tDemonstrable team player capabilities
\n\tAbility to interact with all stakeholders at various levels in the organisation
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s licence and own transport preferable<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain Pharmacy SOPs and Establishment Plans
\n\tMaintain Pharmacy sections of the Research Site Files
\n\tMaintain Pharmacy technical appliances \u2013 calibrate temperature monitoring devices
\n\tMaintain restricted access control to pharmacy
\n\tInvestigational Product (IP) Management
\n\tMaintain adequate stock levels of IP at the site
\n\tStore IP under correct conditions at the site
\n\tLabel IP prior to dispensing
\n\tCheck prescriptions prior to randomization \/ dispensing IP
\n\tCheck ICF correctly signed and dated prior to randomizing or dispensing IP
\n\tAssign participants to IP – randomization
\n\tDispense IP as per specific protocol requirements
\n\tReceive and reconcile IP returns
\n\tStore IP (used and unused) on site until monitor confirms IP accountability
\n\tDispose of used IP as per sponsor requirements
\n\tRecord Management
\n\tMaintain IP accountability records in accordance with the standards required by the SAPC, SAHPRA and ICH-GCP
\n\tMaintain prescription records against which IP is dispensed
\n\tCapture scripts and dispense medicines.
\n\tAssist with the ordering of stock and preparation of statistics.
\n\tParticipate in monitoring visits and audits as necessary
\n\tAssist dispensing doctor with management of IP and dispensing room
\n\tEnsure pharmacy files are inspection ready\u00a0
\n\tAttend trainings and sponsor calls
\n\tPerform all the applicable duties as described in Good Pharmacy Practice<\/p>\n
