Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Sales & Performance<\/p>\n
\tAchieve and support store monthly sales targets (turnover, units per transaction (UPT), and average transaction value (ATV))
\n\tMonitor daily sales performance and provide feedback to the team to improve results
\n\tDrive conversion rates through active selling and customer engagement<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & People Management<\/p>\n
\tSupervise and support team members to meet individual and team sales KPIs
\n\tConduct on-the-floor coaching and provide regular performance feedback
\n\tAssist in managing staff attendance, punctuality, and productivity in line with company standards
\n\tSupport implementation of performance improvement plans (PIPs) where required<\/p>\n
Customer Experience<\/p>\n
\tEnsure delivery of excellent customer service standards aligned to Footgear expectations
\n\tMonitor and reduce customer complaints, ensuring resolution within required turnaround times
\n\tDrive customer engagement behaviours (greeting, upselling, product knowledge)<\/p>\n
Stock Control & Merchandising<\/p>\n
\tOversee stock accuracy through regular counts and adherence to stock control procedures
\n\tMinimize stock loss by maintaining shrinkage within acceptable company thresholds
\n\tEnsure visual merchandising standards are implemented and maintained
\n\tDrive stock replenishment to ensure product availability and sales optimisation<\/p>\n
Store Operations & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure store is compliant with company policies and procedures requirements
\n\tMaintain store standards in line with housekeeping and health & safety guidelines
\n\tSupport preparation for internal audits and stock takes, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
\n\tEnsure all cash handling procedures are followed with zero tolerance for variances<\/p>\n
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all visual merchandising is implemented in line with Company guidelines and seasonal campaigns
\n\tMonitor and improve product presentation to drive sell-through and customer engagement
\n\tEnsure key product lines are positioned to maximise sales performance and visibility
\n\tConduct regular floor walks to identify and correct merchandising gaps
\n\tImplement and maintain promotional displays within required timelines
\n\tEnsure pricing accuracy and ticketing compliance across all merchandise
\n\tDrive team accountability for always maintaining consistent visual standards<\/p>\n
Reporting & Administration<\/p>\n
\tAssist with completion of daily, weekly, and monthly store reports (sales, stock, staff performance)
\n\tMonitor key store metrics and escalate performance risks
\n\tEnsure accurate capturing of data on all relevant systems<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) preferred
\n\tMinimum 2\u20133 years\u2019 retail experience (supervisory experience advantageous)
\n\tMust be computer literate; email & basic Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable using retail systems (POS)
\n\tStrong leadership and team management skills
\n\tStrong understanding of retail KPIs (sales, shrinkage, conversion, ATV, UPT)
\n\tAbility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
\n\tGood Interpersonal skills<\/p>\n
