Description<\/p>\n
To ensure inspections, quality and subcontractor performance is in line with requirements of the track preventative and corrective maintenance through the effective planning and execution of the day-to-day activities of Track Maintenance.<\/p>\n
\tSound knowledge and experience of track standards, inspection cycles and maintenance practices
\n\tSound knowledge of relevant safety regulations (Act 85 of OHSA)
\n\tExcellent understanding of track systems and components
\n\tContractor management experience
\n\tReport writing experience advantageous
\n\tStrong administration skills and management of production outputs and planning
\n\tKnowledge of Movement Of Wayside Machines \u2013 principles, operations and scheduling
\n\tGood organisational and interpersonal skills
\n\tSound verbal and written communication skills
\n\tConversant with contract and project management principles
\n\tValid C1 (Code 10) Driver\u2019s License
\n\tFlexibility to work shifts
\n\tWillingness to be on standby
\n\tPhysical fitness<\/p>\n
Measurement \/ Key Performance Indicators:<\/p>\n
\tEffective management of works orders
\n\tEffective inspections of track infrastructure and assets
\n\tEfficient incident and disaster management
\n\tEffective subcontractor management<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum Advanced Track Master Certificate (Permanent Way Artisan Qualification);
\n\tMinimum 10 years experience in Track Maintenance;
\n\tMinimum 4 years experience in a supervisory role; Track Inspector experience advantageous<\/p>\n
