\n\tDriving performance across mine sites, the workshop, and the full operational value chain.<\/p>\n
Operational Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily operations across multiple mine sites and the head office workshop
\n\tEnsure all installations, servicing, and maintenance jobs are completed on time and to standard
\n\tDrive productivity and accountability across all technicians
\n\tAct as the link between field teams, clients, and management<\/p>\n
Resource Planning & Scheduling<\/p>\n
\tAllocate technicians based on site requirements, project scope, urgency, and geography
\n\tEnsure optimal use of manpower, tools, and vehicles
\n\tPlan deployment schedules
\n\tPrevent rework and customer machine downtime through proper forward planning<\/p>\n
Job Costing & Budget Control<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and manage job and project costing and profitability at project level, site level and area level
\n\tMonitor labour, parts, and travel costs against budgets
\n\tIdentify cost overruns early and correct them fast
\n\tImprove margins through smarter planning and execution<\/p>\n
Stores, Workshop & Field Coordination<\/p>\n
\tManage workflow between stores, workshop builds and site installations
\n\tEnsure parts, kits, and equipment are prepared ahead of time
\n\tMaintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
\n\tReduce rework, delays, and technical failures<\/p>\n
Compliance & Safety<\/p>\n
\tEnsure full compliance with mining regulations and safety standards
\n\tEnforce adherence to site-specific safety requirements
\n\tPlan and maintain technician certifications and training records
\n\tDrive a strong safety culture \u2014 no shortcuts<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead, mentor, and manage a team of \u00b130 technicians
\n\tSet clear performance targets and hold teams accountable
\n\tAddress underperformance quickly and effectively
\n\tBuild a disciplined, reliable, and skilled workforce<\/p>\n
Client & Site Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain strong relationships with mine clients and site managers
\n\tResolve operational issues on-site quickly and professionally
\n\tEstablish Service Level Agreements (SLA\u2019s) with key accounts
\n\tEnsure service delivery meets contractual expectations
\n\tSupport business growth through consistent service excellence<\/p>\n
Reporting & Performance Tracking<\/p>\n
\tTrack KPIs: site and technician productivity, job completion rates, margins, breakdowns and repair rework, machine downtime.
\n\tProvide weekly and monthly operational reports
\n\tProvide monthly\/quarterly customer site reports
\n\tUse data to improve planning and decision-making<\/p>\n
Inherent Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tTechnical qualification (Mechanical \/ Electrical \/ Trade Test preferred) OR management or operations qualification is an advantage
\n\t10\u201315 years\u2019 experience in: Fire suppression systems, OR Mining services \/ heavy equipment maintenance environments
\n\tProven experience managing large, dispersed technical teams<\/p>\n
