\tAs an APDP Claims Specialist, you will focus on managing and processing claims related to the Automotive Production and Development Programme (APDP). This role is critical in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while providing outstanding service to stakeholders involved in the automotive industry.
\n\tThis role is based in our Head Office in Linbro Park.<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Certificate
\n\t1-year customs related qualification (SDS Customs clearing Part 1 and Part 2)<\/p>\n
Knowledge and experience<\/p>\n
\t5 years import\/customs experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry
\n\tMinimum 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in APDP claims preparation and\/or PRCC applications.
\n\tStrong knowledge of South African Customs regulations (SARS, ITAC, NRCS, DTIC frameworks).
\n\tExperience in the automotive sector or working with exporters will be advantageous.
\n\tCommercial, transport, carrier & depot and statutory body documents & stamps.
\n\tBasic international trade principles.
\n\tApplicable knowledge of Customs and Excise Act.
\n\tComprehensive reading and writing skills.
\n\tFunctional business objectives and strategies.
\n\tKnowledge of INCO Terms Carrier & depot conditions of trade. Principles of Duty calculation.
\n\tStrong knowledge of the Customs external policy on refunds and drawbacks.
\n\tKnowledge of Customs external policy on provisional payments. Knowledge of tariffing.
\n\tNational currencies and international codes.
\n\tComputer literacy(MS Office, Shipshape)
\n\tGood communication skills. Good Interpersonal skills.
\n\tSituation analysis and problem solving.
\n\tClient orientation. Accuracy and Methodical.
\n\tHandle pressure and attention to detail.

\tAPDP Claims Management
\n\tPrepare, validate, and submit APDP claims to SARS within required timelines.
\n\tConduct internal audits to ensure claim accuracy and compliance with APDP guidelines.
\n\tMaintain up-to-date knowledge of APDP legislation, amendments, and SARS procedures.
\n\tLiaise with SARS, DTIC, and industry stakeholders on APDP-related matters.
\n\tCompile regular reports and reconciliations on claims status and potential risks.
\n\tPRCC Applications
\n\tAssess eligibility for PRCC certificates for exporters.
\n\tPrepare, compile, and submit PRCC applications.
\n\tProvide post-approval support and guidance to exporters.
\n\tMonitor validity, usage, and balances of PRCC certificates.
\n\tCompliance & Advisory Support
\n\tProvide advisory services on APDP and PRCC requirements to clients (OEMs, exporters, and suppliers).
\n\tIdentify risks, gaps, or opportunities in client processes related to APDP\/PRCC.
\n\tEnsure accurate recordkeeping for audit purposes.
\n\tSupport in handling SARS\/ITAC queries, audits, and investigations<\/p>\n
