Main Duties:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tImplementation of a system intended to maintain and extend the evaluation and accreditation of independent schools and private colleges, and reporting thereon, including but not limited to: assisting in the development of accreditation policies and procedures.
\n\tGenerating, editing, and quality-assuring reports and related documents.
\n\tPlanning and coordinating site visits and the related reporting.
\n\tEstablishing and maintaining sound relations with relevant stakeholders.
\n\tDeveloping and maintaining databases related to the work of the unit.
\n\tPerforming any other tasks that are reasonably assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tAn appropriate recognised three- or four-year post-matric qualification in education
\n\tAt least two (2) years\u2019 middle management experience at a school, college, district, department level, specifically in curriculum management, evaluation, educational oversight, or quality assurance
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 working experience in a school offering the National Curriculum Statement (NCS), with experience in teaching English.
\n\tRegistration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).<\/p>\n
Additional Advantages:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPost graduate qualification in education.
\n\tExperience working as a Umalusi Subject Specialist or Evaluator, particularly in English, dealing with the evaluation and accreditation of independent schools, is an added advantage, as is experience in the coordination and management of Umalusi Evaluation and Accreditation site visits.
\n\tExperience in teaching or lecturing English in a private college offering a qualification on the General and Further Education and Training Qualifications Sub-framework will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
