QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tMinimum 3-5 years\u2019 experience as an alarm technician
\n\tPrevious programming, wiring, installations and fault-finding experience<\/p>\n
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:<\/p>\n
\tA Technician at this level is suitably qualified and experienced (to the Company\u2019s standard) to install & maintain domestic alarm systems as well as perform on-site programming and testing of such systems. This technician can also perform basic fault finding and install radio communication devices<\/p>\n
JOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:<\/p>\n
\tValid driver\u2019s licence essential
\n\tMust be PSIRA registered (Grade C)
\n\tKnowledge of Listener advantageous
\n\tSound knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox and Texecom systems
\n\tBasic Knowledge of CCTV, Intercom systems and access control advantageous
\n\tAble to work standby as per duty sheet<\/p>\n
DUTIES<\/p>\n
\tConduct service calls \/ maintenance and repairs of alarms
\n\tProgram alarm panels
\n\tComplete handovers and quotations
\n\tComplete invoices and job cards after every service call
\n\tComplete links up for new clients
\n\tRe-programme alarm systems when the current alarm was part of a takeover
\n\tTreat all clients with respect
\n\tAlways ensure neatness and in full uniform
\n\tAssist with any problems or complaints
\n\tEnsure the vehicle assigned to you is roadworthy and clean
\n\tCheck and inspect the vehicle thoroughly before leaving the office\/hub

\n\tReport all faults to the Senior Supervisor, Installations
\n\tComplete daily drive sheets
\n\tComplete job reports and technical invoices
\n\tQuote clients on upgrades
\n\tConduct vehicle, electrical and ladder inspection checks and give feedback to the manager
\n\tComplete a stock control check
\n\tKeep the company vehicle clean and tidy<\/p>\n
