Role Summary:<\/p>\n
\tWelding, fabrication, cutting, measuring and maintenance op PERI steel components.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:<\/p>\n
\tRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures and understand how the final product should look.
\n\tDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
\n\tOperate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
\n\tTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws structural imperfections in the metal.
\n\tMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
\n\tWelders need to make clean line and cuts when welding. Paying attention to the job at hand is necessary.
\n\tKeep tools and equipment in good repair and being responsible.
\n\tCarry out PERI company health & safety procedures at all times.
\n\tRead plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
\n\tWorking closely with other teams\/supervisors\/managers to ensure consistent, efficient and working practices.
\n\tOther manual duties as directed, muct be willing to work with other departments, carrying out different duties as required.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tWelding certificate
\n\tPrevious welding experience important
\n\tMIG welding experience
\n\tBoilermaker experience will be an advantage<\/p>\n
