Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tThe Fleet Team Lead will be responsible to supervise the day-to-day co-ordination of the fleet team, vehicles and services to ensure the smooth and timeous delivery of transport services to guests and staff across the Sun City Resort in line with Sun International\u2019s operational excellence standards, procedural compliance and customer experience expectations.
\n\tThe Fleet Team Lead will also be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of transport for staff children to schools in neighbouring areas and their safe return home.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tManage the day-to-day co-ordination of transport operations within the Sun City Resort
\n\tBe the contact person between drivers, the control room and management to ensure the smooth flow of transport between bus stops
\n\tCo-ordinate the scheduling and monitor the delivery of staff school buses on a daily basis, escalating any concerns or issues
\n\tCo-ordinate and monitor the scheduling and implementation of staff buses as required across the resort
\n\tMonitor transport standards and processes and continually focus on process improvement, and align practices with new legislative compliance and regulations
\n\tImplement sufficient control measures (including systems and processes) & checks in the process to mitigate any risk to the business, staff and guests
\n\tConducts rostering and duty allocations of staff to meet the transport requirements and requests of the Resort\u00a0
\n\tHandles shift briefings \/ handovers \/ shift reports \/ disputes
\n\tFacilitate daily inspections of vehicles by drivers to ensure optimal vehicle functioning, cleanliness and workstation appearance
\n\tUnderstand transport requests which are new and unfamiliar, providing directions and guidance to drivers where necessary
\n\tReport all accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions and damage to resort vehicles and related property to relevant parties
\n\tTroubleshoot queries \/ problems received by the department to ensure a smooth operation
\n\tRefer and \/ or escalate ongoing issues affecting service delivery to Fleet management for resolution
\n\tUnderstand feedback received from guests on the transport services and propose ways to improve services
\n\tSupport Fleet management in the scheduling of vehicle maintenance, ensuring operational continuity
\n\tMonitor fuel levels and consumption, ensuring that the fleet can carry out daily objectives\u00a0
\n\tDrive contingency plans when unforeseen breakdowns\/incidents occur to facilitate the transport service offerings
\n\tIdentify employee training needs and coach, upskill and develop employees on the job to close training gaps
\n\tProvide input into employee performance contracting, reviews and development
\n\tOnboarding of new staff members into the department
\n\tDeal with any remedial action required in the delivery of transport services
\n\tBe available in the operation to monitor the transport customer experience, ensuring customers are not left waiting for transport\u00a0<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tNational Certificate in supervisory management would be an advantage\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience working within a fleet or transport environment, of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license Code EC1 (Code 10), Public Drivers Permit (PDP)<\/p>\n
