JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe core purpose of the role is to provide technical support to internal- and external stakeholders through estimating, quoting, training and technical advice.<\/p>\n

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
TECHNICAL SUPPORT<\/p>\n
\tProvide accurate technical support to internal- and external stakeholders.
\n\tTroubleshooting.
\n\tAnalysis.
\n\tFind premium solutions for complex customer needs, to meet customer requirements.
\n\tProvide technical drawings for internal- and external stakeholders.
\n\tAnalyse technical drawings and estimate product specifications accordingly.
\n\tReviewing and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the materials required for each project.
\n\tProvide accurate quotes to stakeholders.
\n\tPreparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
\n\tCalculating the costs of the materials needed for the project, using specialized software.
\n\tCustomer based quotes.
\n\tProject based quotes.
\n\tMaintain key customer relationships.
\n\tFabricate samples as required.
\n\tResponsible for updating and maintaining estimating software as required, identifying and rectifying errors to ensure accurate information for quote compilation.<\/p>\n
ESTIMATING<\/p>\n
\tProvide accurate quotes to stakeholders, within established timelines.
\n\tEstimate and determine the costs involved for clients in producing the systems.
\n\tEnsuring estimating procedures are followed and kept.
\n\tEnsure compliance to building regulations. (SANS10400)
\n\tProvide technical product advice to customers relating to quotation requests.
\n\tProvide accurate estimation and supporting data to customers.
\n\tCuttings lists.
\n\tPosition drawings.
\n\tOptimisations.
\n\tGlass lists.
\n\tVarious other relating reports.
\n\tEstimate special powder coating costs.
\n\tCollaborating with the sales teams and Technical Manager to ensure that estimates are competitive and accurately reflect the scope of work required for each project.
\n\tMaintaining accurate records of all estimates and ensuring that they are updated regularly to reflect any changes in costs or project scope.<\/p>\n
SPECIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse technical drawings and estimate product specifications accordingly.
\n\tPreparation of specifications.
\n\tCommunicate with customers to fully understand their special requirements.<\/p>\n
SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to the OHS Act.
\n\tParticipate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nKEY JOB REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with at least 1 or 2 additional short course certifications.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t3 years\u2019 experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tProficient in Estimating Software at an intermediate level.
\n\tProficient in SAGE \/ Pastel Evolution, or similar, at an intermediate level.
\n\tComputer literacy with Proficiency in AutoCAD at an intermediate level.
\n\tKnowledge of AAAMSA and SAGGA regulations.
\n\tAwareness and understanding of the ISO Standard requirements relevant to the position.<\/p>\n
SKILL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
\n\tAttention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
\n\tTechnically proficient with the ability to read and understand architectural drawing and solve complex technical queries.
\n\tArchitectural aluminium product experience and understanding of product assembly required.<\/p>\n
