\tIndustrial Engineer is responsible for designing production layouts and processes that increase productivity, eliminate wastefulness and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards within an organization.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
\n\tDegree in Industrial engineering
\n\tAt least 1 year proven experience in a production environment.
\n\tKnowledge and Experience in Maize and Wheat Production will be an advantage.
\n\tAdvanced Microsoft Office (incl. Advanced Excel).
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license \/ own reliable transport.
\n\tKnowledge of 20 Keys will be an advantage\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign efficient production processes to eliminate waste and make the most of every resource involved in manufacturing.
\n\tCompile and manage allocated projects within the data and project department.
\n\tCompile and distribute key statistics to the management team.
\n\tEnsure each project is completed within the allocated budget and timeline.
\n\tIdentifying possible projects in the processing environment.
\n\tIdentifying production needs continuously to ensure effectivity of production.
\n\tThe effective management of projects within the approved project timeframe and budget at Farm Foods (Modderriver and Christiana).
\n\tDetermine the feasibility of projects.
\n\tOperational impact study and presentation of new product range to the Farm Foods management team.
\n\tErgonomically study of each department.
\n\tCompile project plan (Grant chart) per project, during the planning phase and after implementation.
\n\tCompile the 1\u20135 Year Capex Plan.
\n\tHead special projects in the plant.
\n\tCoordinate all contractors assigned to capital projects.
\n\tContinuous liaison with internal departments, management, suppliers and committees regarding production standards and quality aspects within the processing plant.
\n\tCoordinate all role players in the introduction of a new product.
\n\tResponsible for driving the Continuous Improvement Program (20 Keys), providing the necessary expert support and coordination in terms of:
\n\tImplementation of the program for all keys in conjunction with the key leaders.
\n\tOverall plan and goals in conjunction with the key leaders.
\n\tFollowing up on progress on action plans and goal achievement matrices and providing the necessary guidance.
\n\tAssisting key leaders with corrective actions on action plans where applicable.
\n\tTo complete all allocated training interventions by the direct manager.
\n\tTo mentor and coach all relevant staff to ensure standards, processes and practices.
\n\tTo keep abreast of all relevant legislation and amendments on relevant legislation, technology, products, processes and techniques by attending workshops, seminars, reading articles and receiving training as well as informing relevant personnel.
\n\tAny other duties as may be required by management.<\/p>\n
