About the role:<\/p>\n
\tIs a Supervisory role which supplies Bulk Liquid to the Isipingo Packaging Department and other Packaging business partners, in line with the business goals and objectives, to maintain a high efficiency, low cost, good quality and acceptable safety standard operation. \u00a0To implement company\u2019s manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures. Accountable for Supervising \/ leading blending, filtration, mixing process operations. Leading and ensuring loading and offloading of bulk tankers and containers. Maintain and Lead a Safe and Healthy Working Environment and Improve Quality and Food Safety Compliance Agenda<\/p>\n
Role Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tActively this role shall own the entire process to ensure the delivery of the bulk products to internal and external customers On Time In Full at the required Quality.\u00a0
\n\tPlanning & Co-coordinating Blending processes to ensure the on time in full of no error supply of Bulk liquid to all our Packaging Partners internal and external.\u00a0
\n\tTranslation of packaging plan into blending plan and communicate timeously to all stakeholders.\u00a0
\n\tComply with the Customs, Excise and Duty payment process as defined in the Tanker offloading SOP.\u00a0
\n\tStand in for the Blending Manager when required for Business continuity. \u00a0
\n\tEnsuring all ingredients and processing aids are available for production. \u00a0
\n\tEnsuring all utilities are available for blending production.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure cleaning and sanitizing of the Plants and equipment in accordance with quality standards. \u00a0
\n\tEnsure all autonomous maintenance processes are consistently applied and implemented in line with the maintenance plan. \u00a0
\n\tParticipate in AM audits.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare for, Receiving, offloading, Loading and dispatch of consolidated flavours and blended liquids. \u00a0
\n\tThis role involves facilitation and interaction with all relevant stakeholders both internally and externally. \u00a0
\n\tThe individual must have a positive impact on all site KPIs through correct application of Continuous Improvement methodologies.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate and\/or lead the relevant root cause analyses for any non-conformances.\u00a0
\n\tThis role requires you to work shifts.\u00a0
\n\tLead and support the Blending Operators to execute the relevant production plans in accordance with the set KPI\u2019s\u00a0
\n\tLead the people management agenda related to the Blending Operators (HR\/IR policies and procedures).\u00a0
\n\tSpend adequate time on the floor to support, coach and guide operators.\u00a0
\n\tManage attendance and manpower requirements.\u00a0
\n\tApply Performance Management Practices consistently with direct reports.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure continuous handover across shifts and within the team members.\u00a0
\n\tPartner with capability personnel to ensure the development and growth of the Blending Operators.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure blending operator\u2019s skills matrix are updated timeously.\u00a0
\n\tEffectively lead and deliver department KPIs. \u00a0
\n\tidentify opportunities on the shift and the plant to drive KPI improvement.\u00a0
\n\tAccountable for maintenance of documentation.\u00a0
\n\tAccountable for records to be correct, completed fully and honestly.\u00a0
\n\tConduct all activities and processes in accordance with relevance LTO (Licence To Operate)
\n\tAttend all mandatory and statutory training.\u00a0
\n\tConduct all the Blending activities according to the agreed Technical Manuals and Company Standard operating Procedures.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all Quality and Food Safety Management system standards and controls are consistently applied,\u00a0
\n\tEnsure prompt adherence of team members to standard escalation procedures.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure 5 WHY is completed on shift inline with stipulated standards.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all down time activities is properly recorded.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience \/ skills required:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or related science\/engineering fields
\n\t3 \u2013 5 years relevant experience in Blending environment\u00a0
\n\tPreferable 3 years in Supervisory \/ Team leader position\u00a0
\n\tFMCG experience is essential.\u00a0
\n\tSAP experience will be advantageous.\u00a0
\n\tAnalytical ability to understand balance between customer service, inventory holding and production capability.\u00a0
\n\tSensory Expertise: Highly developed sense of smell and identify quality nuances.
\n\tTechnical Knowledge: Understanding of spirits chemistry, wood management, and maturation dynamics.
\n\tExperience: A background in distilling, maturation, or laboratory settings is \u00a0required
\n\tDocumentation Skills: Accuracy in logging, reporting, and maintaining detailed records for compliance and inventory.<\/p>\n
