The role requires a strong leader with excellent sales ability, sound commercial understanding, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships in a competitive market.<br \/>\n\tThe ideal candidate must be proactive, customer focused, and capable of leading a high-performing sales team while maintaining strong operational and commercial alignment across the business.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tGrade 12 \/ Matric (Essential)<br \/>\n\tRelevant Diploma, Advanced Certificate, or Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related field (Advantageous)<br \/>\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience within a steel, manufacturing, roofing, or related sales environment.<br \/>\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in an External Sales management or supervisory role.<br \/>\n\tSAP proficiency advantageous.<br \/>\n\tIntermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills required.<br \/>\n\tStrong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.<br \/>\n\tValid Code B driver\u2019s licence required.<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nSales &amp; Market Development<\/p>\n<p>\tLead and manage the External Sales team to achieve branch sales and GP targets.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and develop new business opportunities, customers, and projects.<br \/>\n\tGrow market share through customer engagement and market development initiatives.<br \/>\n\tMonitor competitor activity, market trends, and pricing structures.<br \/>\n\tEnsure achievement of branch sales budgets and profitability objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Customer &amp; Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tConduct regular customer visits and key account engagements.<br \/>\n\tResolve customer queries and service-related issues professionally and efficiently.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.<\/p>\n<p>People Management<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, coach, and support the External Sales team.<br \/>\n\tMonitor team performance and accountability.<br \/>\n\tConduct performance discussions and identify development requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance, Safety &amp; Quality<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and SHEQ requirements.<br \/>\n\tMaintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and accountability.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>macsteel.erecruit.co<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/macsteel.erecruit.co","_company_name":"Macsteel","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"We take a conservative trading approach that is focused on the fundamentals and structure of the trade, supported by an experienced back-office team that provides top-notch service through to trade completion.
