ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tTo adopt an aspirant view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
\n\tTo create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and present interesting and exciting lessons.
\n\tEstablish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and promotes engaged learning.
\n\tBehave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and students\u2019 homework.
\n\tEvaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
\n\tOffer academic support, on two afternoons per week and assist with two afternoons of extracurricular activities.
\n\tProduce resources of a high standard for students.
\n\tShow loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
\n\tAttend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
\n\tSet and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
\n\tWrite report comments.
\n\tThe post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head\/line manager determines.<\/p>\n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:<\/p>\n
Skills and Previous Experience:<\/p>\n
\tConfidence with the use of IT in teaching
\n\tProven track record of teaching Life Science in the College phase
\n\tPrevious experience with IEB Programme
\n\tA minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience will be advantageous<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Accreditations:<\/p>\n
\tUniversity qualification
\n\tCertified Teaching Status<\/p>\n
