MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION<\/p>\n
\tTo develop, manage and maintain efficient and effective financial services that achieve cost reductions through a financial strategy of planned and effective process re-design value-added services and integrated systems.<\/p>\n
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGY<\/p>\n
\tProvide input on internal business review analysis to guide strategic input and development.
\n\tProvide input on strategic direction to the business in outline current and future financial objectives.
\n\tReview and Report on the achievement of business units objectives.
\n\tProactively provide financial advice and support to in order to ensure strategic business objectives are achieved.<\/p>\n
BUSINESS OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY<\/p>\n
\tReview and Report on the achievement of business units objectives.
\n\tProactively manage month end reporting in line with Group Finance Deadlines.
\n\tEnsure that all monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed on time.
\n\tProvide and Assist in managing the income statement for the divisional business units; Provide accurate and timeous financial information in order for management to make informed decisions.
\n\tManage, co-ordinate and monitor the annual budgets.
\n\tProactively provide financial advice and support to Group Sales and Marketing in order to ensure strategic business objectives are achieved.
\n\tEstablish and maintain inconspicuous control systems targeted at key risk areas.
\n\tProvide flexible information delivery systems that respond to changing needs.
\n\tPerform ad-hoc investigations and prepare ad-hoc reports.<\/p>\n
GOVERNANCE RISK AND COMPLIANCE<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and report on operational risks and compliance.
\n\tImplement internal control measures to ensure good governance and compliance.
\n\tOversee the management of Operational risks to protect organisational integrity, create value, prevent financial loss and ensure compliance with applicable policies and legislations.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor compliance in line with OHS Act.
\n\tDevelop, implement and maintain sound internal control processes\u00a0
\n\tMonitor execution of internal risk audits and address gaps and provide execution of mitigation strategies.
\n\tEvaluate all business plans in the context of compliance to the organisational guidelines and policies.<\/p>\n
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tExplore and make recommendations on current Operational processes to streamline and improve it for better efficiency and effectiveness.
\n\tCreate and maintain cross functional communication with internal stakeholders.
\n\tEffective discussion, coaching and communication with all levels of management in order to set proper budgets & forecasts.<\/p>\n
LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tContract, set target and manage Performance of the team in accordance with the Performance Management policy.\u00a0
\n\tEffective management of Employment Relations issues within the Business Unit.
\n\tManage, direct, guide, motivate and develop the team
\n\tEnsure effective communication within the department and division and promote effective communication channels.
\n\tPersonnel Development Plans (PDP) for all staff members.
\n\tProvide direction on the attraction and retention of staff.
\n\tEnsure the relevant Job profiles are prepared and are available for the Business Unit.
\n\tProvide direction on the retention and attraction of staff.<\/p>\n
INHERENT\/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma \/ Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Financial Management or equivalent qualification. (NQF6\/7)<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t6 years\u2019 experience in Financial Management of which 3 years should be Supervisory Level. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
