{"id":37065,"date":"2026-06-03T20:06:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T20:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/financial-manager-radio-head-data-analytics-and-governance\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T00:24:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T00:24:12","slug":"financial-manager-radio-head-data-analytics-and-governance","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=37065","title":{"rendered":"Financial Manager: Radio \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Head Data Analytics and Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION<\/p>\n<p>\tTo develop, manage and maintain efficient and effective financial services that achieve cost reductions through a financial strategy of planned and effective process re-design value-added services and integrated systems.<\/p>\n<p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n<p>DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGY<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide input on internal business review analysis to guide strategic input and development.<br \/>\n\tProvide input on strategic direction to the business in outline current and future financial objectives.<br \/>\n\tReview and Report on the achievement of business units objectives.<br \/>\n\tProactively provide financial advice and support to in order to ensure strategic business objectives are achieved.<\/p>\n<p>BUSINESS OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY<\/p>\n<p>\tReview and Report on the achievement of business units objectives.<br \/>\n\tProactively manage month end reporting in line with Group Finance Deadlines.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations are performed on time.<br \/>\n\tProvide and Assist in managing the income statement for the divisional business units; Provide accurate and timeous financial information in order for management to make informed decisions.<br \/>\n\tManage, co-ordinate and monitor the annual budgets.<br \/>\n\tProactively provide financial advice and support to Group Sales and Marketing in order to ensure strategic business objectives are achieved.<br \/>\n\tEstablish and maintain inconspicuous control systems targeted at key risk areas.<br \/>\n\tProvide flexible information delivery systems that respond to changing needs.<br \/>\n\tPerform ad-hoc investigations and prepare ad-hoc reports.<\/p>\n<p>GOVERNANCE RISK AND COMPLIANCE<\/p>\n<p>\tMonitor and report on operational risks and compliance.<br \/>\n\tImplement internal control measures to ensure good governance and compliance.<br \/>\n\tOversee the management of Operational risks to protect organisational integrity, create value, prevent financial loss and ensure compliance with applicable policies and legislations.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor compliance in line with OHS Act.<br \/>\n\tDevelop, implement and maintain sound internal control processes\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor execution of internal risk audits and address gaps and provide execution of mitigation strategies.<br \/>\n\tEvaluate all business plans in the context of compliance to the organisational guidelines and policies.<\/p>\n<p>STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tExplore and make recommendations on current Operational processes to streamline and improve it for better efficiency and effectiveness.<br \/>\n\tCreate and maintain cross functional communication with internal stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tEffective discussion, coaching and communication with all levels of management in order to set proper budgets &amp; forecasts.<\/p>\n<p>LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tContract, set target and manage Performance of the team in accordance with the Performance Management policy.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEffective management of Employment Relations issues within the Business Unit.<br \/>\n\tManage, direct, guide, motivate and develop the team<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective communication within the department and division and promote effective communication channels.<br \/>\n\tPersonnel Development Plans (PDP) for all staff members.<br \/>\n\tProvide direction on the attraction and retention of staff.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the relevant Job profiles are prepared and are available for the Business Unit.<br \/>\n\tProvide direction on the retention and attraction of staff.<\/p>\n<p>INHERENT\/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>\tNational Diploma \/ Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Financial Management or equivalent qualification.
