Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPerform routine and advanced veterinary diagnostic testing, including serology, molecular diagnostics, and bacteriology, in accordance with approved methods and SOPs.
\n\tVerify, interpret, and troubleshoot diagnostic results to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with quality standards.
\n\tReceive, log, and process samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), ensuring full traceability throughout the testing process.
\n\tOperate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, including routine cleaning, calibration checks, and coordination of servicing and repairs.
\n\tEnsure timely reporting of results by effectively managing workloads and turnaround times, and implementing corrective actions where deviations occur.
\n\tComply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), SANAS, ISO 17025, and AssureCloud quality system requirements in all diagnostic and laboratory activities.
\n\tMonitor and manage stock levels of reagents and consumables to support uninterrupted diagnostic testing.
\n\tCommunicate professionally and effectively with veterinarians, clients, and internal teams regarding sample status, results, and technical queries within scope of practice.
\n\tParticipate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and continued professional development to maintain SAVC registration and diagnostic expertise.
\n\tSupport and promote AssureCloud\u2019s values, ethical standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Veterinary Technology.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t1\u20132 years\u2019 experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory environment, with exposure to one or more of the following disciplines:
\n\tSerology
\n\tMolecular Biology
\n\tBacteriology
\n\tVirology
\n\tExperience as a SANAS Technical Signatory (advantageous)
\n\tExperience working in a SANAS\u2011accredited ISO 17025\u2011compliant laboratory (advantageous)<\/p>\n
