Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will provide technical support to research projects and laboratory activities, including:<\/p>\n
\tPerforming routine cell culture procedures and maintaining immortalised cell lines under BSL-1 and BSL-2 conditions.
\n\tSupporting research projects through cell-based assays and optimisation of routine endpoint assays using established protocols.
\n\tPreparing reagents, buffers, and laboratory solutions required for experimental work.
\n\tMaintaining accurate laboratory records, experimental documentation, and quality control data.
\n\tEnsuring the cell culture laboratories remain clean, organised, and compliant with GLP and laboratory safety regulations.
\n\tAssisting researchers and postgraduate students with technical laboratory procedures and experimental workflows.
\n\tSupporting the implementation of SOPs and routine laboratory quality assurance processes.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Core requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBSc or BTech in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science or similar qualification
\n\t2 -3 years\u2019 hands-on experience in cell culture and aseptic technique under BSL1 and 2 laboratory settings
\n\tProficiency in molecular and culturing various primary and secondary cell lines
\n\tFamiliarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
\n\tMaintaining experimental records (lab book) with accuracy and working with protocols and SOP\u2019s
\n\tStock and reagent maintenance and logging
\n\t2-3 years\u2019 experience in training staff and students in aseptic technique
\n\tUnderstanding of quality control processes within a laboratory setting
\n\tProficient in MS Office for data recording and reporting.
\n\t2-3 years\u2019 experience with basic cell culture end-point assay optimization and routine screening using established protocols<\/p>\n
Advantages:<\/p>\n
\tBSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology or related field
\n\tExperience with isolating and culturing primary cell cultures
\n\tExperience with techniques such as DNA, RNA extraction, qPCR, or ELISA
\n\t1 -2 years\u2019 hands-on experience in under BSL2 laboratory settings
\n\tExperience of working in a GLP-accredited laboratory or similar environment<\/p>\n
