\tBTT is currently recruiting for an Operator level 2 to join the Durban Operations Team reporting to the Team Leader, to ensure safe and efficient bulk storage operations on a shift basis and effective operations.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with Maths, Science & proficiency in English
\n\tCompleted all Operator Level 2 competency modules
\n\tMinimum of 2 years\u2019 BTT Operations experience
\n\tCode 8 Drivers Licence preferred<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to BTT policies and procedures in all aspects of operations & SHEQ
\n\tReport unsafe acts and conditions to the Team Leader on shift
\n\tResponsible for ensuring that all work is carried out safely and that employees adhere to PPE requirements
\n\tEnsure that all accidents\/Incidents\/CAR\u2019s are reported
\n\tCo-ordinate and execute site and shipping activities in accordance with BTT procedures, work instructions and Logistics and planning schedule
\n\tPerform Vessel Entry inspection and confirmation of tank cleanliness before surveyor is in attendance
\n\tPerform and calculate stop dips and pumping rates accurately
\n\tAssess work areas and prepare permit to work
\n\tActivate heat systems, chillers and compressors in accordance with planned site activities
\n\tPrepare tanks, lines and equipment for operations as directed
\n\tLoad and unload drums onto flat racks and containers as per drumming procedure
\n\tResponsible for the signing in and out of keys in accordance with the tank key control procedure
\n\tManage the effluent and separator operations to ensure no environmental damage
\n\tReport losses and gains to the Team Leader on shift
\n\tEnsure that there is an effective handover between shifts to ensure operational continuity
\n\tOperate the weighbridges on site, by weighing all vehicles in \/ out of BTT
\n\tComplete the necessary check sheets ie) RTA
\n\tDocument all stock movements in and out of the site (including drum loads)
\n\tCapture all drum and vehicle details onto SAP
\n\tCheck the loading\/ decanting instructions with the internal order
\n\tCapture tank heating, chilling and nitrogen data
\n\tCapture daily\/weekly\/monthly dips<\/p>\n
COMPETENCIES: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)<\/p>\n
\tAvailable and willing to work shifts in accordance with the BTT Shift roster
\n\tStrong communication skills \u2013 both verbal and written
\n\tKnowledge of pumps and valves, operating procedures
\n\tAbility to work well within a team
\n\tRelevant BTT systems knowledge and experience
\n\tPhysically fit in accordance with the man job spec<\/p>\n
