\tSupreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Stores Manager in the Dry Goods Stores department.
\n\tThis role is responsible for the effective management and control of all inventories within the Stores, including dry ingredients, packaging materials, PPE, and production consumables required for the manufacturing of our products. The Stores Manager ensures accurate stock handling, efficient issuing of materials to production, and timely coordination with suppliers for incoming deliveries.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 essential.
\n\tRelevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Warehouse, or Inventory Management advantageous.
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in stores or warehouse management, preferably within FMCG or food processing.
\n\tKnowledge of Syspro will be an added advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of HACCP, ISO, and traceability requirements in a food production environment.
\n\tProficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
\n\tStrong leadership and team management capabilities.
\n\tHigh accuracy and attention to detail.
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily operations of the Stores, ensuring timely and accurate issuing of stock to production.
\n\tManage inventory for dry ingredients, packaging materials, PPE, and consumables.
\n\tApply FIFO \/ FEFO stock rotation principles to ensure quality and maintain traceability.
\n\tMonitor stock levels, usage trends, and reorder points to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.
\n\tPerform cycle counts and monthly stock takes, investigate discrepancies, and submit variance reports.
\n\tEnsure accurate system capturing of all stock transactions (receipts, issues, adjustments, returns).
\n\tEnforce compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, and traceability requirements.
\n\tEnsure proper storage conditions, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
\n\tComplete and maintain all documentation including delivery notes, GRVs, requisitions, and batch traceability records.
\n\tParticipate in internal\/external audits as part of the Food Safety Management Team.
\n\tLiaise with external suppliers regarding delivery schedules, stock availability, and non-conformance issues.
\n\tCoordinate, inspect, and sign off incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
\n\tSupport Production planning by communicating stock availability and constraints.
\n\tSupervise and lead store personnel; allocate work, manage leave, and ensure adequate staffing.
\n\tTrain and develop team members to ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety, and stock handling procedures.
\n\tConduct performance reviews and address performance or disciplinary issues when necessary<\/p>\n
