This role will drive a high-impact learning agenda across the organisation, ensuring our people have the skills, tools, and leadership capability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<br \/>\nL&amp;D Strategy &amp; Framework<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop the Group L&amp;D strategy aligned to the People and Business strategy.<br \/>\n\tDesign the L&amp;D framework aligned to the business model and capability needs, supporting the talent strategy.<br \/>\n\tTranslate long-term strategy and framework into clear tactical execution plans for the team.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and lead L&amp;D policies.<br \/>\n\tDefine and track ROI measures for key learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Skills Development<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and drive the skills development framework aligned to transformation and employment equity legislation across all divisions (including acquisitions).<br \/>\n\tLead the collation and submission of the annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to the relevant SETA.<br \/>\n\tManage key stakeholder relationships (BBBEE Manager, Payroll, Tax, SETA, vendors, EE Committee, HR and business).<br \/>\n\tTake accountability for SETA spend, including rebates and refunds, in line with budget.<br \/>\n\tManage Delegation of Authority (DOA) contracts and processes for discretionary SETA grants.<br \/>\n\tBuild external networks across sectors to maximise funding opportunities and influence relevant tertiary curricula.<br \/>\n\tOversee skills development policy management.<\/p>\n<p>Academy Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage learning demand across the business.<br \/>\n\tApprove in-house learning design and ensure quality of learner experience (including content for critical skills, version control, and brand alignment).<br \/>\n\tEnsure accuracy and integrity of learning data and reporting.<br \/>\n\tOversee learning technology platforms and tools.<br \/>\n\tPrioritise L&amp;D focus areas and learning portfolio for the financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Governance, Risk &amp; Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tManage L&amp;D policies, procedures, and legal contracts.<br \/>\n\tEnsure adherence to financial governance processes.<br \/>\n\tOversee all compliance reporting requirements.<br \/>\n\tManage L&amp;D-related risks through the risk register.<br \/>\n\tStay up to date with skills development legislation and regulatory changes.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership &amp; Team Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage team capacity and performance against defined KPIs.<br \/>\n\tDrive succession planning within the L&amp;D team.<br \/>\n\tEstablish and track team development goals.<br \/>\n\tFoster a high-performance, values-driven team culture aligned to organisational DNA<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Education, or related field (Master\u2019s advantageous)<\/p>\n<p>EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\t8\u201312 years\u2019 experience in Learning &amp;
