Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for an People & Culture Specialist: Employee Relations to join the People & Culture team at CCBA.<\/p>\n
Key Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nER and Labour Law<\/p>\n
\tRepresent CCBA in labour litigation and case management.
\n\tSupport HRBPs in managing disciplinary actions, counselling, grievances, and incapacity.
\n\tLead and manage organizational collective bargaining processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, fair representation of employee interests, and timely resolution of disputes.<\/p>\n
People Governance & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tManage and enforce governance compliance continuously by proactively identifying and addressing people practice risks.
\n\tPromote a culture of accountability and ethical conduct throughout the organization, including internal audits and workplace rights.<\/p>\n
People Services<\/p>\n
\tOversee and harness the value of all workplace services (e.g., canteen, uniforms, transport, medical services) to optimally impact the employee experience.
\n\tEnsure these services are executed according to agreed-upon standards and motivate the workforce.<\/p>\n
Employee Wellness and Engagement\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that CCBA Employee Wellness strategies and initiatives are deployed in-country.
\n\tProvide reporting feedback to Group and leadership.
\n\tEnhance employee experience by lifting employee engagement levels with targeted initiatives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
People Analytics & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tAct as custodian for Digital HR systems locally, including the rollout of HR systems (e.g., D365).
\n\tEnsure uploads, master data governance, and monitoring of People Analytics for the country using tools like Power BI.
\n\tProvide insights and coach to HRD\/HRBPs to develop HR Analytics capability
\n\tConsolidate country KPIs (ESG, CCP) and generate insights to inform group and local strategies.<\/p>\n
Skills, Experience & Education\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nEducation<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, or Law
\n\tPostgraduate qualification or certification in Labour Law, Employment Relations, or Dispute Resolution<\/p>\n
Skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCommunication Skills.
\n\tStrong conflict resolution skills to address and resolve workplace conflicts, disputes, and grievances in a fair and impartial manner.
\n\tAbility to negotiate and mediate discussions between parties to reach mutually beneficial agreements and solutions.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and fairness in employee relations matters.
\n\tHigh ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee relations issues and maintaining trust and confidentiality.
\n\tCultural Awareness: Cultural awareness and sensitivity to address diversity and inclusion considerations in employee relations practices and interactions.<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tExperience in mediation, facilitation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques to facilitate productive conversations and resolve conflicts.
\n\tSolid foundation in labor and employment law, including litigation experience and knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents related to labor relations, employment contracts, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and other employment matters.
\n\tContract Negotiation.
\n\tEmployee Relations Management.<\/p>\n
