MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tA relevant NQF Level 8 qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Finance and\/or Business Management.
\n\tA minimum of ten (10) years\u2019 relevant experience, of which at least five (5) years must be at middle or senior management level in a similar environment.
\n\tSound knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, IFRS, SCM and related legislation.
\n\tExtensive auditing experience within the public sector.
\n\tStrong strategic leadership and management capabilities.
\n\tAdvanced computer literacy; and a valid unendorsed Code B driver\u2019s licence.
\n\tThe successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Makhanda, Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
\tProvide strategic financial leadership and manage SALB\u2019s overall financial administration.
\n\tCompile and manage the annual budget and monitor cash flow and expenditure.
\n\tPrepare financial inputs for the Strategic Plan, APP and Annual Report.
\n\tSubmit quarterly and annual financial reports to DSAC and National Treasury.
\n\tPrepare Annual Financial Statements and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
\n\tAdvise the CEO, Board and Board Committees on financial matters.
\n\tOversee risk management and chair the Risk Committee.
\n\tLiaise with the Audit and Risk Committee, Internal and External Auditors, DSAC and National Treasury.
\n\tSupport revenue generation and institutional sustainability.
\n\tManage employees reporting to the CFO.
\n\tApprove financial transactions and creditor payments in line with delegated authority.<\/p>\n
