Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an experienced and detail orientated Technician to look after high-security installations across our infrastructure projects.
\n\tThis role requires full deployment and configuration of Alarm Systems, CCTV surveillance, Access Control and Network connectivity at respective sites.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tInstall, configure, and commission and maintain electronic security systems, including:
\n\tCCTV (analogue and IP)
\n\tAccess control systems
\n\tAlarm and intrusion detection systems
\n\tIntercoms and perimeter protection solutions
\n\tNetworking \u2013 Strong knowledge of Fibre Infrastructure
\n\tElectric Fence Systems
\n\tPerform routine maintenance and preventative service on installed systems.
\n\tDiagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
\n\tConduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations.
\n\tEnsure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
\n\tProvide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
\n\tComplete job cards, service reports, and administrative tasks accurately and on time.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12
\n\t5-10 years proven experience in the Electronic Security Systems Industry
\n\tStrong understanding of networking fundamentals
\n\tValid code 8 Drivers License
\n\tPSIRA registration Grades C<\/p>\n
Required Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
\tAlarm System installation and programming with end-to-end knowledge of installations and maintenance.
\n\tCCTV System installation and configuration of analog and IP-based surveillance systems, including remote viewing set-up.
\n\tStrong understanding and knowledge of router installation, static IP configuration, and port forwarding for remote system access.
\n\tInterpretation of wiring diagrams, floor plans and security systematics.
\n\tKnowledge with UPS systems and structured cabling would be advantageous.
\n\tDiagnosis and troubleshooting skills
\n\tStrong adherence to confidentiality and security protocols.
\n\tAbility to work independently or as part of a team under project timelines.
\n\tExcellent communication and customer service skills.<\/p>\n
