Understanding and Managing Targets<\/p>\n
\tThe Telemarketer must ensure a clear understanding of the company\u2019s monthly sales targets for both Legal and Funeral products.
\n\tThey are expected to work closely with Management to achieve both individual and departmental\/company targets.
\n\tThe Telemarketer must meet their assigned weekly and monthly targets as set by their respective Team Leader.
\n\tWith guidance from the Team Leader, the Telemarketer should be able to calculate the required number of daily sales\/proposals needed to meet both personal and company targets.
\n\tTargets set must be reasonable, achievable, and practical. Weekly targets should be distributed consistently across the commission run month, rather than being disproportionately high over short periods \uff08e.g. during reinstatement periods\uff09.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Marketing of Leads \uff08Sales of Products\uff09<\/p>\n
The Telemarketer is responsible for marketing Scorpion products to prospective members with the aim of securing new business by:<\/p>\n
\tUsing the prescribed script to effectively address the needs and interests of prospective members.
\n\tUtilizing only the tools and resources provided by Scorpion to market its products.
\n\tClearly explaining product features, benefits \uff08e.g. accidental death cover\uff09, and exclusions to ensure full understanding by prospective members.
\n\tAccurately and professionally responding to all queries from prospective members.
\n\tCollecting and capturing complete and accurate member information (e.g. name, address, premium details) to generate valid proposals.
\n\tEnsuring all captured information is correct to facilitate successful deductions \uff08e.g. accurate banking details and deduction dates\uff09.
\n\tMaking all required disclosures and disclaimers strictly in accordance with the prescribed script, with zero deviations.
\n\tProviding a clear summary at the end of each sales call to address final questions and confirm that all relevant information has been communicated.<\/p>\n
Call Centre Operations, Dynamics and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tMaintain adherence to individual and departmental performance standards.
\n\tDemonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in all tasks.
\n\tCollaborate effectively with team members and management.
\n\tComplete and submit all required daily and\/or monthly reports on time and with accuracy.<\/p>\n
Quality, Compliance and Professional Conduct<\/p>\n
\tConduct all interactions with prospective and existing members with honesty, transparency, and professionalism.
\n\tTreat all clients fairly and with respect at all times.
\n\tStrictly follow the prescribed script when marketing products, with zero deviations.
\n\tApply appropriate sales techniques without engaging in forced selling or rushing through leads.
\n\tTreat all leads equally, without preference, including company-funded leads \uff08e.g. digital leads\uff09.<\/p>\n
Regulatory and Disclosure Requirements:<\/p>\n
Telemarketers must not provide financial advice or services beyond their authorised scope. This includes:<\/p>\n
\tRecommending or guiding prospective members on specific product choices or cover.
\n\tConducting financial needs analyses as defined by the FAIS Act or related legislation.
\n\tInform prospective members, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act \uff08POPIA\uff09, that:
\n\tTheir personal information will only be used for the intended purpose of applying for a policy.
\n\tTheir information will be safeguarded and treated as strictly confidential.<\/p>\n
Performance Quality \uff08FDC and Clawbacks\uff09<\/p>\n
\tStrive to minimise Final Deduction Codes \uff08FDC\uff09 and\/or clawbacks by ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant capturing of all required information.<\/p>\n
Complaints Management<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate with all members and prospective members in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner to minimise complaints.
\n\tImmediately escalate any complaints or potential complaints to the Team Leader or Management.
\n\tFully cooperate with investigations and promptly assist when requested by Team Leaders or Management.
\n\tLearn from valid complaints and take corrective action to prevent recurrence.<\/p>\n

Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 and\/or equivalent qualification
\n\tAdditional call centre training would be advantageous
\n\tFAIS accreditation will be considered an advantage<\/p>\n

\tA minimum of 12 months’ Telemarketing experience is essential
\n\tProven track record of achieving targets
